Haha the account name is actually from valo. I kinda didn't think about the fact that that's my riot account so the name will apply to all riot related games lol but it actually does kind of fit. And thank you :D I'm pretty sure I have thousands of awful mechanic examples but I think I've gotten a little better already. Still a long way to go and I'll probably take someone up on those coaching offers soon bc i feel like I'm hitting a wall at the moment and not making progress but I haven't given up yet 🙏🙏

As an artillery mage, remember: your first priority is always SAFETY. They require mechanics by hitting skillshots but conceptually, they're easy to learn. This is because almost every single time you die, there's not much analysis that you need to do to figure out what you did wrong; you just need to either think, "I should've stood farther away from the enemy" or "I should've stood closer to my team" You might have fun trying veigar! He's kind of like Ziggs in that he does a ton of damage with good range, but he's good for beginners because he's designed to use his Q to last-hit minions. EDIT: Nvm, I just saw that you've already played Veigar lol.

Yess and I actually loved veigar, it's just for now I'll have decent games where I do well and then I'll go up against a one trick and miss all my e's and die miserably. I feel like veigar allows for less mistakes idk especially since he only gets better late game bc of the scaling thingy (I think that's how it works) I do think once I'm better at hitting all my skillshots and positioning I'll play him more tho bc he's super fun. One thing is also that I'll just see a teammate in trouble and I'll rush in with no regard for my positioning and then I usually die. So I'll definitely have to work on not making those panic decisions with horrible positioning haha

There is a improvement you can see through the videos as you get a little more comfortable with things! One of the hardest things that helps a lot is getting more comfortable when enemies get close, since if you panic you can end up just throwing all your abilities randomly and missing key hits that will save you. It's a hard thing to work on, but in general if you keep a calm head in league and focus on the things you can do to win, it helps so much. If you are behind, slow the game pace and focus on farming for a bit to catch up gold wise, or if a team mate is playing very well, you can hover around them and make sure they are staying alive/help them get kills to get some assist gold. Also if you get that BZZZiggs skin or Heimerstinger, it'll look like you're straight out of the Bee movie!

That's funny that you talked about seeing ziggs in top lane because of proplay. Technically they did have ziggs going top but that's because of the whole lane swap meta where they do send the ADC top lane. Never thought about how that would look to a new player before :b

Brooo I realized that now too lmaoo I might have missed the warning where ziggs is under the category of botlaners but in my defense I've had maybe one game against ziggs as an adc, the only other times I've seen him was maybe mid and actually top sometimes. Probably c its iron, but ive learned now and shall play him in his proper role or ig not play him since I wanna stick to mid/top for now. It did work for like 3 games to play ziggs top so I don't think it's awful but I could definitely get run over with 1 missplay

@@minuna_ The reasons as for why certain champs are preferable for certain lanes but not for others often are way too nuanced to play any role unless really high ELO. All Mid, Top and Bot-lame champions usually are also perfectly playable in the other two lanes. People are just afraid to go against the meta… unless you watch pro-play. The ones who supposedly define the meta are also the ones least afraid to break with it.

Going over strengths and weaknesses, garen is perfect champion. You can use your eyes and keyboard, and if you time it right and handstand on the R key you will kill the enemy. No skillshots and no map awareness needed

Lmaoooo I have some really unfortunate news tho... I did try garen bc I thought he'd be easy, you know the whole spin to win and I've had to go up against bro often and it's so annoying to play against, but when I tried him I barely did more than 20k dmg.... I think the issue I have is that I've mostly played longer range characters, like ziggs, lux, veigar, and honestly even mf I played safe with the Q so I have absolutely no feeling for playing close range but maybe I'll try the handstand on the R key, maybe that's the secret technique 🤔🤔

For midlane I’d recommend Xerath Lux Anivia. I don’t play top often but Aurora (is a midlaner now but works as top too) Ornn And for Jungle: Briar Fiddlesticks For adc: Jhin Vayne For Support: Milio Yuumi. These are couple easy to learn characters that mostly require just understanding of the game rather than using your skill. Imma warn you though, those midlane suggestions are basically skillshots ahoy 😂 though they are forgiving. Aurora is skillshot too. Rest you just use your brain to learn about initiating and when you need to stay back, save mana consumption etc. Don’t worry, hopefully people will help you out whenever you upload. Otherwise there is a ”3 min guide” for a character channel that does a great job summarizing

Oh yeah I've been watching that 3 minute guide guy a few times. I don't understand everything especially since it's obviously quite fast but it's nice to get a basic understanding. And thanks for the champ tips!! I think lux might actually be good for mid bc I used to play her in support quite a bit and it's probably a bit different in mid but atleast I somewhat understand her abilities. For the others I sadly only have jhin and aurora unlocked atm but ive been kinda shying away from playing adc bc it jsut feels a lot less forgiving if you place yourself wrong in a team fight or mess up in general. I also got a recommendation for some alois guy so I'll probs check out some of his videos too

@@minuna_ Yeah adc is like you said a world war because it’s 2v2 and really just insanity, mid is a bit more hectic and they level up easier, top lane is the tea party lane where you’ll occasionally duel but otherwise just very simple. Don’t worry about the character unlocks! Like you said, play what seems fun. When I see ”this character is hard” that’s what attracts me to them. It’s a challenge of sorts. That’s why Nilah is so fun, takes time to learn but rewarding late game. About yuumi, tbh when I moved city for university, couldn’t bring my pc and had a laptop with no mouse, yuumi is the character i played. It’s not amazing but it’s easy 😂

Are you using quick cast? You might want to turn that on in the settings for your abilities

I saw another comment about it but its so interesting you though as a new player ziggs was a top laner. (no flame) But in pro play they often swap top and bot lanes to gain advantages or to safely farm in a more favourable match up. So Ziggs isn't actually a top laner but he will swap with his own top laner to cover the lane for a bit. But one thing is that Top laners struggle really hard against ranged Tops extremely hard below gold/plat. So playing a ranged character in top lane isn't necessarily a bad thing so don't be afraid to experiment and try different things in iron because once you are getting kills and have low deaths in iron nothing else really matters.

Yeah I think the lane swap thing is why i had it mixed up but also the thing where you can destroy turrets just seemed so useful for top idk in my head it made sense hahaha and noone ever plays ziggs bot in my elo so I've never seen bro there sometimes in mid but never bot. And I think ranged characters are better for me to play in general bc I feel like they allow for more mistakes. Like I can stay a little further back, be a little safer from ganks and stuff. But it's also kinda bad bc now i have no idea how to play close range characters. Like I tried garen but it was so difficult to get used to playing so close and I felt like 1 wrong move and I'd die.

Thank you !! And yeah I think I deffo don't wanna end up with the typical league depression that's why I try so many Champs and kinda just do what seems fun. For tryharding it's probably smarter to just 1 trick a champ but even tho I wanna get out of iron I'm not tryharding it :) if it takes time it takes time. Also good luck to you as well :D

Just incase no one told you that yet but u can see a little sign over a turret when its low enough for your W. I also recommend playing aram since u will learn a lot there about other champions. Also dont be afraid of trying other champs in normal games. Just type in chat /mute all incase some toxic randoms decide to flame you. People can know if ur first timing and they will always find a reason to blame others. Even in normal games xD

Yess I saw that symbol after a while and I kinda learned the timing too. I think I just thought my thing would explode at the right time. Like the automatic timer but I just didn't have the timing down. I kinda learned it now tho, this was 1 of my ziggs games. Thank you for the tip tho, i feel like it's kinda a small indicator and I definitely missed it the first few times also bc my cam is locked and I jsut didn't see lmaoo And I tried aram like twice I think but it honestly stressed me out and there was just so many abilities I didn't even know which ability belonged to whom haha

I made a second account for practicing in normal games as well, so I can slowly level it up until I can play ranked there bc I have this theory that second account / smurfs always end up being higher rank. So I'll deffo test agents there from now on
