Loved your dress. Very clever colour blocking. Usually listen to audio books whilst sewing, or KZbin videos but I have to pause and rewind when I get to a difficult bit 😄. Will look up your suggested author - like a recommendation. Absolutely my friends know that my dog comes first! They know I love him and he can’t be left too long. They understand and if they didn’t, well Hey ho! Loving the Dogmobile video. He has his own personal chauffeur 🤣🤣

Nice color-blocked dress! Like the fabric combo and the use of the printed fabric around the neck and arm holes. Well done! A dress made with 2 fabrics looks very nice. Any more that two fabrics and (IMHO) the garment looks confused, as though the designer wasn't sure of the look they wanted to achieve. Less is more!

Your dress turned out so cute! Yes, I could hear the fan, just barely, and only because you said something. You voice came through loud and clear, so be comfortable. Free the fan! I turned on an audio book today when I had to unpick a couple seams. Ordinarily I sit in relative silence and just have the soundtrack in my head going, but it was nice to have the book and not have to think about what I was doing.

I think the dress is so cute one of my favorites. We live in a small town and several people here have golf carts . I really love the idea . My neighbor just got one she and her son go around in it . They are allowed on the street here in our small town. I have 5 dogs and yes I totally get it but I had esp with a stray cat for years . I'd leave town at the drop of a hat because I knew he was there on the porch waiting.

Oh I always listen to something, sometimes documentaries, sometimes audiobooks. I'm with you on literature content - no coarseness, no swearing, no gratuitous violence, no lurid exploits, I can't take it, turns me right off. At the moment I'm listening to Reclam audiobooks in German and I have Effie Briest by Theodor Fontane in the background when I'm sewing at the mo. It is a sort of German version of Madame Bovary. I listen to all sorts really. I've learnt several languages as a bit of a hobby and I like to keep them up by watching youtube films or listening to audiobooks. It is so much easier to do that these days with the internet.

My dog is an old girl and I don't like being gone too long from her. She used to be my mom's dog and 2 years ago my mom died after being rushed to the hospital by ambulance. The only thing this baby knows is that her person was taken and didn't come back so every time we go anywhere the dog gets stressed and beats up my bed pillows and drools on them. Mostly I send hubby to grocery store since it's near his work and he can avoid traffic by taking the back route home.

Your dress is so pretty and it reminded me of when I copied a colour block t shirt recently as I didn't want to buy the pattern so thought I would play myself 😂 Like you I listen to Audio books and especially ones with American accents 😂🤣, hate romance now 🤮and swearing (it is clearly our age!) If not a book then I tune into a Canadian Country Music Radio station, yes random I know! We are a weird bunch of people but fabulous 🥰. Oh I like this dress. I think two fabrics work well. I wonder if a trapeze style dress would work. Right now I am in the process of sewing 53 costumes for our church for a Christmas pageant. I listen to k love a Christian radio station. But with the volition am not listening to anything. Silence is needed. lol

I have to tell you,, we have a boarder collie and she LOVES the golf carts!!! All you have to say is,,”wanna go get air in your hair”.. and she dancing and ready to go!!!! We started on the farm in Alabama and now we lives in Arizona and I am soooo glad we have the golf cart… it made the move so much easier. She jumps off and tries to out run our gas golf cart. I love dogs and golf carts!!!❤

Love the dress. Congrats on the golf cart. Buster looks like he enjoys it. You may wanna get Buster a seat belt collar strap, if you hit a hole then he would not fall out. They also make doggie car seats with strap too for him to have his own area to relax in. Take care and God bless.

Totally with you on british or aussie accents in my audiobooks. So wonderful to listen to! Try Lane Winslow Mysteries by Iona Wishaw. I get the audiobooks from my local library system. You'll love this series! Wonderful, comforting, great woman, women characters!!! Let me know if you love it too.

I have KZbin sewing videos on while I'm sewing but a friend of mine loves WWII stories and I'm going to tell her about the author you mentioned. Golf carts are a big thing at the shore in New Jersey, I hear, and they've been a big thing in Florida and other Southern states for quite a while - I think your doggy likes to ride in the cart because he's with you and he gets a walk without having to walk 😄!

Cute dress and you might like Jenny Colgan or Sophie Kinsella on audio. They're both British and they're clean romance. Me - I'm all into military fiction (special ops) and sci-fi from indie authors, the ones that are small and often self-published. I used to read a lot of romance but I've gotten away from it. And when I say read, of course I mean listen. Give me spaaaaaaace! OK gotta go film my own #FS!

I listen to podcasts while sewing or audio books. Not usually KZbin sewist because rarely is there one that is a Lengthy one Back in the day before audio books I enjoyed British authors. I used to read then with a British accent in my head. There's a couple great British murder mayhem and gardening series I really enjoyed in the 80/90's unfortunately the author passed away sooooo no new ones. Can't remember the author. And the second one I will try Google see what comes up. Both series were wonderful Murderer mayhem and gardening. What more can one ask for. The other one was a group of 4 or 5 forensic auditors that were called in to crime scenes one was a cook, one was a gardener, one was a wine snob etc. But all were accountants. Fab fun series of British stuff.

The only reason my 4 older gkids agree to go golfing with me (14-16) is so they can drive the golf cart like maniacs. They haven't flipped us yet but a few times i thought.... For sure. But then the beverage cart came around. It's interesting when teenagers pay for your beer/cider/cooler "to calm your nerves Baba?" Bahaha
