Speedcut 15" been the overall best one I've used with Husq 550 Mark II and 560 several hundred of cuts per week. It usually survives 1-2 years.

I brought an oregon bar and chain - not from you this time, bar and chain are a match per the sales blurb. Noticed lateral movement in the chain. Used for about an hour - short spurts, plenty of chain oil and double checked it was working. My idea of a correctly tensioned chain, if the bearing in the nose does heat up then good to go. When cleaning up I found the following: no wear on the rail, burring etc and yet the rail isn't flat and plenty of pitting, the nose has a 5mm blue spot on one side, the rail guage measures 1.65mm when it should measure 1.50mm. The chain measures 1.45mm and I'm feeling sharpness on the drive links that I didn't notice what fitting. I've polished the bar flat using a diamond file/stone, the nose was tricky. Observations welcome 🤪. Thinking of buying a new chain, 0.063 to fit the gap.

So no more light bars ? I'm looking for a 325, 50 20" light bar . I've been running the light 04 from stihl but the tips seam a little delicate.

I'm fairly new to chainsaws and was recently was looking at buying a chain for a saw that has an Oregon bar. Their chains now have the same naming convention and it was very confusing. I knew the specs that I needed but there were a few options, the descriptions aligned with the ones in your manual so the idea is to match them up, starting with your excellent Pro, intermediate and casual user summary.

The Oregon parts system is very confusing indeed...
@cdnpicker2 жыл бұрын
Actually, I think that this new system will be beneficial to people like me, a homeowner on a wooded lot, I use a saw primarily to manage fallen limbs and trees. The bars last longer than the chains so if I knew for example that my saw had a Speedcut bar, I’d simply need to know what length it is and buy the appropriate chain. It won’t matter to the pros, they’ll know which chains they need but it could save me from hurting myself by accidentally buying an a professional Advancecut that doesn’t have the kickback protection that consumer chains do.

Except if your looking for a Husqvarna Number 450 and above like a 460 rancher go to there parts finder none of the 450 + models are in the list ? These saws have been around for many years yet there model numbers are not in the parts list makes no sense.

Worst chainsaw bars ever made, pure crap. They split, the steel is soft, the glued ones are a joke.

Which bars do you prefer and why?
@floriceeel2 жыл бұрын
@@featheredcoyote5477 I use Stihl bars a lot. Had a couple of Tsumura and Sugi bars, both pleased me. Good bars. All of them last a lot, 5-6 chains at least. The Oregon rarely bears 3 chains, their steel is too soft.

@@floriceeel what would you reccomend for my Husqvarna 350 with 18"? Used once a week for a few months here in northern Indiana. We heat 100% with a woodstove.
@floriceeel2 жыл бұрын
@@featheredcoyote5477 I'd use a shorter bar, a 15-16" the most. Sugi Hara would be my first choice, then tsumura and titanium gb. Cannon bars are pretty expensive. Any of these is better than oregon.
