Dude a few weeks back you recommended that I get a Wolf watch roll. I did and man it’s perfect! Exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Oh, so they have a leaf spring thing like Blancpain Deployants. I really like those.

Rubber has to be fitted IMO. It also should be a deployant clasp. Tudor deployant clasps fit a lot of aftermarket rubber, leather, and fabric straps, so its great staying branded. I have tried Everest, Vanguard, and rubber B, and it's a bit of a minefield. They look very similar and it seems an easy ask, but they are actually all very different and none of the three I mentioned were perfect.

Rubber straps can definitely be deceiving. Some good, some bad.

You’re spot on Tony. I have a Brietling SuperOcean and it has exactly the same style strap. The buckle has a fine adjustment so it wouldn’t be as bad as it may seem. Funny part is. It took 4 tries before it got to the right size. BTW. Brietling straps (the one I have) is very uncomfortable. If you have it on your wrist for long time. By the time you take the watch off your wrist. You will have a Brietling indentation on your wrist 😂

Oh man, yeah, I know that. I almost bought one a few years ago. Although, I didn’t know it would leave a Breitling brand on your wrist. 😊😊🤙🤙

Non fitted/non integrated straps look much better. They also flex better. Love the Zenith 💪

That looks one of the easier straps to cut because of the ridges. Am I correct in thinking it has two micro adjust positions on each end? I have not seen that before and so good to see as it is rubbish when the rubber end is just hanging on by its fingernails lol. My advice to people cutting those type of straps is to do one section at a time (no matter how obvious it is that you need more off) and be aware of clasp position each time. Use the biggest thickest knife (I used a sharpened meat cleaver) and push down squarely on a chopping board with a slight rocking motion. Cutting one at a time will be good practice and you can see how the end best fits the clasp. If its slightly too long to fit in clasp, file down by rubbing on a block of wood covered in sand paper. If you try to cut a tiny amount off it will end badly. Leave as much strap on as possible. The instructions may not always be 100% the best way to do it. If you get close, wear it a while before cutting one more off. Rubber wears differently to other materials, so it may actually be the best fit. Cut to fit rubber on a deployant is way better to wear/use than having a strap end hanging out (for various reasons) but the Tudor deployant non cut type are better for the nerves!

Can I ask a guitar question instead? What is your opinion on Rickenbacker guitars?
