I recently found your channel and have really been enjoying your content. Unlike most diecast streamers you have deep, working knowledge of the castings AND the vehicles they are based on. That plus your laid back, anti-hype style make your videos stand out among the typical noise being produced today. A few vids back you said collectors should collect what we like and be happy with what we find, not pissed off at what we don’t, and those words of wisdom have given me a new outlook on what can be a frustrating hobby if you let it. Thanks for the contributions to the collecting community and keep up the great work!👍

When M2 makes a casting they know will be popular, they absolutely PUKE them out. 😂

I loved Tomica as a kid "Pocket Cars." Majoret's were good in the 80's to. There are so many good cars out there now.

Nice vehicles. Tomica Mercedes is cool. I bought several Tomica cars back in the 80s from stores. They make some cool models.

I have collected Code 3 Fire Trucks. I have around 50 of them going back to 1997. Most purchased from Code 3 Direct/Code 3 Collectors Club. Certain hobby shops such as one in Chicago sold them as well as the FDNY Store in NYC. Code 3 over produced their diecast and released "found in warehouse" sold out items even after they were thought to be all gone, this was especially true with the Super Pumper set. This brought down the value of the vehicles. The FDNY models sealed in box retain the most value.

Two thumbs up!!! How do you know so much about cars/trucks? Are you a mechanic? Car historian? Anyway... you are right about Code 3 fire trucks... they are awesome. I found one at a second hand store still in its original box for $20. That was my find of the month!

Thank you for keeping me from going insane....I stumbled on the two Chevrolet Dually set, and had to have it. I'm not typically a truck guy, but it is SO iconic 70s. I love the stock versions, and yes, the lime and white model had me doubting my sanity. I still cannot understand why M2 Machines would go through all the trouble of having such a precise models (these are practically museum pieces because they are exquisite, only to have the rear wheels that are NOT flush on the single cab dually. It's doesn't just look strange, it looks WRONG! I don't understand why they didn't use a longer axle, and use some sort of metal spacer. You're exactly like me in that if I saw two, I'd buy one to open, and another pristine in the package. That being said, M2 has really done an amazing turn around in the past handful of years. Within the last five years, if I went to Walmart, chances are the models had unacceptable defects. Today, I don't see that at all, including the ones with opening doors and hoods that are more intricate and more complex to build correctly at the factory. The Squarebodies and the Chevy vans are perfect, and I tend to buy any that are stock. Greenlight on the otherhand seems to have suffered the M2 quality syndrome, and its taken a step back under its new ownership. It may be a little quiet for a while, but I'm very optimistic. It's a very competitive market these days for these companies to vie for the pocket change of all us big kids in big boy jobs! (Incidentally, I'd say that the term "vintage " could also apply to not just 2000 models, but 1960s and 1970s. I had the Tomica Mercedes 450 SEL in silver in my collection when it was new in 1976 or so. Despite every company company making the W116 Mercedes, it has not been until now that Majorette has created one that is perfection. The proportions and lines, along with the scale seem absolutely ideal.

That cab driver needs to watch out for those curbs. I wish Greenlight would re-release the black Maruder. I think the M2 dually beds look too long behind the rear fender. That firetruck is sick. I use the biggest, fluffliest paint brush I could get at the hobby/craft store for dusting, some use the biggest make-up brush. Great models!
one thing that the designers need to know, i am not doing this to be a rivet counter, from someone that loved these trucks and still does, the placement of the side marker, or clearance markers on the dually humps are in the wrong placement, they belong on the side facing fore and aft positions in a proportional placement to the wheel opening, and the design of the body, should look like the front side markers,
