You need to try the color NW 15 because the color is more color corrective with slight peachy neutral undertones which is more appropriate for covering dark circles than the NC17. If you still want the golden tone of the NC 17, you could try NC17.5 because it's got a golden peachy undertone to correct dark circles.

Thanks for uploading this. I'm royally frustrated about the discontinuation of my Holy Grail concealer (the MAC Studio Finish one in the pot) and have absolutely no idea where to go now. There's just SOOOO MUCH choice out there, not just in formulas but in colour options. And now MAC tell me that the Studio Finish (which worked perfectly as an under eye concealer AND face area concealer) has not been replaced by a single formula suited to both areas of the skin and ideally, one would require two different concealers for the face. Ergh. Department store lighting is incredibly deceptive too, so I'm going to be power walking outside the store and back in for a solid two hours with my pocket mirror. A tiny tweak in undertone or depth in shade changes everything doesn't it? So the plan is to test two concealers in one go (one under each eye and on each side of the nose) and then before I head home, I'll try another two. And so forth. It's going to be an irritating use of my time and like almost all women in my age bracket, find concealer shopping far from my favourite pastime. I wish these companies all did little blister pack samples we could buy as foundation and concealer has to be absolutely bang on, not just 'okay'. There is no 'okay'. Thanks for being so informative in this video, I really appreciated hearing everything you had to say. Wish me luck! PS= Will there ever be a better foundation that the OG Doublewear by Lauder??💌

MAC seem to be on a roll recently with their reformulations and discontinued items! 😐 I wish brands offered those sample packs too, it would make finding the right shade and formula so much easier- and would save lots of time & money!! Do you prefer full coverage? If so, you might enjoy the Natasha Denona Hy-glam, the Huda Beauty Faux Filter or the Haus Labs! And yes, Double Wear is such a classic - hard to beat! ❤️ Good luck on your concealer hunt and do let me know if you find something that works! ☺️🩷

The hunt begins at the start of December when I next have a day off work. I have a chart worked out for how I'm going to do this in a relatively short time period. I've heard great things about the new Guerlain Terracotta concealer too. Not drawing attention to texture and lines is the my key criteria during this mission. I’ve experienced some issues with this concealer that I never had before with any other product. After applying the Studio Radiance Concealer, small bumps appeared around my eye area, which was really concerning. Sadly, I had to return it, despite loving the texture and application of this product. It’s a shame, because it felt great on my skin otherwise.

I bought it and I agree, it isn't very hydrating for me. I will be returning it. My holy grail Concealer remains Tarte Maracuja from Sephora. Oh well. Still fun to try out new products.

Oh I totally understand! Do you have darkness under your eyes? My favourite high end concealer for hydration is the Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Concealer. But it’s a medium coverage. My favourite drugstore is the Nyx Bare With Me Serum Concealer, full coverage but very hydrating! 🩷

I just discovered if you have already covered this i apologize but can you tell me why you don't put vitamin C or niacinamide under your eyes? I'm curious because my undereyes are super dry and I do put all my serums under my eyes so I'm wonderful if I shouldn't . I loved your review by the way!

@@ashleybullard1285 Hi Ashley! Don’t ever worry about asking me questions ☺️ I think it’s just a personal choice really. The skin under our eyes is much thinner than the rest of our face, so it could be more prone to irritation & drying. My advice would be to always read the product directions & ensure it specifically states that it’s suitable for that area. Of course, you can buy under eye specific products which will always be suitable 😊 I just like to keep my undereyes hydrated because they are so thin, so hyaluronic acid is enough for me 😊💜

MAC concealers and foundations are very hit or miss for me. Some are my longtime holy grails and others are awful or make me break out terribly. I'll probably keep my eye on this for a possible future purchase. I do tend to like luminous vs. dewy products for my more normal-oily skin. Thanks for another great review! 💗

You don’t need to apply a much of products, it is 80% skin care serum based.. over use of products yet less and see how that works

Not sure if you caught the part about my prep but I prep my under eyes (and face) the same every day, with just an eye serum. No matter what skincare is in a makeup product, you still need to prep the skin of course, but as you said, minimally! 🩷

Hi Carmel, there are a lot of skin care ingredients seemingly in this product and maybe for that reason it's meant to replace your existing under eye serums and or creams. It appears to have been designed as a multi purpose concealer. Concealer, brightener and skincare in one product.
