If there is just a 30 dollar difference, then I would absolutely update. It’s a microphone that has all the features you would need. Less likely to have to buy another mic in the case you need those extra features moving forward!

When you were doing the sound test, was there effects on besides the gain? It was it dry???

Hello! Apart from gain levels, there were no effects applied to the audio. I’ll always indicate when there is. I always like the viewer to have an idea of what the mic sounds like without any enhancements made to the audio. Hope this answers your question and thank you for watching 👍🏾

I don’t sing myself but I feel it wouldn’t have an issue with that. Just have to ensure you’re keeping proper distance and angles to the mic and make sure you are also using a pop filter and I think you should be good to go!

@ten hi, yes i got it recently and tried using it for singing. It's pretty nice, even when i sing loudly it doesn't distort if I'm keeping distance. I still have yet to properly test this mic but I'm very happy with it :)

I personally like both the Maono PM422 and the Mackie… both are good and also come with different accessory lists… so it’s tough, but if it came down to it ? I would go with the Mackie.

@aminarshin honestly, it has great build quality, (you will see if you end up buying it) and I find it’s more neutral sounding. Be aware that the mic does have live monitoring but you need to adjust the settings on your computer to activate it. Happy recording 👍🏾

Hello! The microphone itself should have no noticeable latency. Plug the headphones into the mic itself and tell me if this fixes the issue 👍🏾

I can confirm that it does have live monitoring. Just have to follow the instructions I left in the video. It’s one of my top pics in budget mics actually. I’m not sure if it works with phones however…

Yeah...I am thinking if it can have direct monitoring on phones well. Seems like it could but no promise... I know some mic has slower latency but still it means having latency (which is quite annoying) but yeah I think your video is very helpful and you have clearly done more research than other reviews about monitoring. Hey thank you ! Yes, I think I know what you’re asking. So, I actually search for different genres of music. The ones I’m happy with tend to be under calm hip hop, sometimes EDM. But I do spend a good amount of time searching. So patience will def be needed in finding a sound that resonates with you. Hope this helps somewhat ?

Hello, That’s how the mic comes in its default settings. You will need to turn on the monitoring in sound settings for that mic on your computer 👍🏾. I left instructions in the video
