Big problem with anti-scratch and anti-fog coatings on glasses is that they smear if you use the little packaged disposal eyeglass cleaning wipes on them. You know, the kind of cleaning wipes that are moistened with a cleaning liquid that otherwise gets your glass really clean. With those, you don't have to go looking for the water and just the right soft cleaning cloth.

Will there be a prescription option? And if so, what kind of lens options would there be?

Hey Magpul!! Where's my m1a stock?! Where is my Magpul pistol brace?! Where is my cz75 sp01 grips?! Where is my savage model 10 precision chassis?! Where is my Ruger pc9 carbine pistol grip stock?! Where is my sig p320 replaceable frame?! Where is my Magpul iwb appendix holster?!

Made in Tawain not so 😎 cool. Similar to Smiths in style. But in a very saturated market why Magpul over x,y,z? What do they really offer that I cant find elsewhere? Ability to try glass on? Really woulda offset where made by better price points, btw. Maybe market will offset the costs. Interesting to see but not sure Id give up my current over. Imterrsted to hear more about warranty to. Ie E glasses get chewed by fur missle malinois? Do you reaplce? Etc.

Ryan Snow a bit misleading until the very end of the video. They talk about designing them and how Magpul is using their expertise to manufacture them. As anyone knows, Italy is the country with experience manufacturing premium sunglasses..... Oakley's, Ray-Ban's....many others. Taiwan and China make the cheap knockoffs you buy on eBay and the local gas station. I'll check them out when someone gets them in stock but I have serious doubts on quality.
@shortstuff99905 жыл бұрын
Thanks for posting this, it is exactly what I was wondering. Their excuse for why it is Taiwan made seems like nonsense. My Smith Elite glasses are made in U.S. and meet or exceed every durability standard that the Magpuls meet. And they cost less.

I was sold till I heard about Twain. But even with that. I probably will try on a pair when I see them in person. But I have a huge Oakley collection and I know they where not all made in the USA. But at least hopefully you can either match or beat Oakley latest quality, which should not be hard to do for magpul. Some questions through what’s the warranty? Are is the lens going to be user changeable? How flexible are the frames and lens for impact absorption?

No mention of UV protection? The only time it’s even mentioned on the site is on the black lenses and it just says “absolute UV protection”. That’s not a rating that I’m familiar with...

Expensive sunglasses are mostly all made by the same brand- Luxotica- in Italy. If the Taiwanese can manufacture from the "hub of optical manufacturing" (never heard of that) for a 3rd/5th of the price- ok lol

I like the models with the side pieces. When we are “working” dirt, sunlight, debris, wind, gets thrown everywhere. Side pieces help keep that shit out of my eyes. Eyewear Side Pieces are good, Goggles are best. Some joker made reference to the side pieces looking like glasses old people wear after cataract surgery…. Harsh. But when you get your eyes damaged, because you were an idiot, come back and post here. You can have someone type your NEW opinion for you, since you wont be able to see shit, or the Magpul models of safety glasses that would have saved you from your stupid decision. Then you can wear Magpul Wayfairs all the time with your walking cane.

Dislike the super tall side pieces. Like someone else here said, they look like the monster wraparounds that the blue hair seniors crowd wears after cataract surgery.

Same price point/range as Oakley but not US made (well, Oakley used to be US made at least the model I have were), lacks the ballistic rating akin to Revision (a DoD contracted and issued eyepro maker) or Oakley's operational inserts that were/are DoD approved. US "lacking quality" in regards to this kind of production? Couldn't be further from the truth, disappointing to see Magpul yet again turn their back on one of their core manufacturing and customary values...

Derek J. 24 minutes later in the video.....made in Taiwan. That's CRAP. They could have at least had them made in Italy like Oakley, Ray-Ban.........

@Cleetis McDougall I agree, even Oakley used to be US made (my Flak gen 1's were) with no qualitative deficiencies, this is just a company trying to cut labor costs and taxes more or less.

I'm sorry but this is very hard to watch. 1- Audio is atrocious on the Brownell's rep. Sounds like either the worst quality lav mic which doesn't have omnidirectional or there's a loose stereo cable. 2- These are the two most boring people, sorry to say. All the awkward pauses and drawn out sentences about nothing are so aggravating. 26 minute video where I learned hardly any information about the product. Materials, the different lenses types, nothing of value was addressed in depth. Sorry to be so negative but I got angry watching this.

$89.00 to $149. For some Taiwan made glasses. Get yours now because I doubt these will be made long. Oakley screws customers on the cost of there glasses. They admitted that they only cost a few dollars to make, but at least they have a solid reputation in eyewear. For a new company in eyewear breaking out with a product at the same price point, don't think they will sell. Not to mention my personal opinion is, I don't like they style.

Today I received the terrains in the mail. The lens are very nice. High quality lens like Oakley. But the frames are pure shit. I sent them back the same day I got them. Im extremely surprised magpul comes out with such shit frames in comparison to all the other awesome products they produce for rifles.
