I have just been informed that the "Free A-rank" is ANOTHER Corin as showed on their twitter account. IDK why they have Lucy on the TV screen to promote this event even in the post where they say it's Corin. Due to this confusion I deeply apologize about getting people's hope up and I changed the thumbnail to not seem like I am click baiting. If the free A-rank ends up being Lucy then I will change it back. Genuine mistake and sorry for the inconvenience

I want to believe that it'll be an A-rank selector, do note that the text says "such as A-rank agents, etc.". It felt weird giving another Corin considering that they're giving her in the Pre-registration rewards and of course, it's probably just me coping hard.

Oh, so Lucy and Piper are supposed to be A-Rank characters available at launch? That quite makes sense actually because one of the things I was the most surprised with when looking at the initial roster was the limited number of A-Rank characters. Seven was very few, basically half of the number of 4* characters Genshin and HSR had at release. And when you realize that A-Rank are pivotal for unlocking attribute/faction passive bonuses, this number seemed very low. So nine is better (even though it remains lower to HSR and Genshin, but teams in ZZZ are comprised of only three characters so I guess it's ok). Plus, I wasn't really sure Lucy and Piper (especially Piper) had the appeal of 5* characters for 1.1.

Agreed on the low amount of A ranks and it's really interesting that if I'm not mistaken, we have a chance to get EVERY single a rank besides Piper and Anton for free LOL

Ah yes have you noticed the CASUAL Ellen model in the IGN gameplay video? It's around the 6 minutes mark and very easy to miss but it's such a nice treat! It opens up lots of implications.

I’m gonna need a gameplay analysis did I see a BANGBOO CHAIN ATTACK 3RD INTO THE COMBO? Really excited to see those new ethereal visuals too, some other things like in a couple cutscenes and other things the green looks to be cranked up even more and health bars appear to have new visuals when doing constant damage, the healthbar instead of just being red showing the damage you’ve done it’s a more orange hue and glows when doing damage, so much of this looks absolutely amazing and i’m so excited for release

Lucy and Piper being A rank makes sense due to their designs. But I love Piper with her axe The HS06 characters are gonna be AWESOME. Idk aboht Miyabi just since I'm pulling Ellen, but Soukaku's design is one of my favs. Maybe pink haired girl idk. Qing Yi seems like an A rank but I'll def want her, I love her prosthetics so I hope she's great!

They are! This confirmed due to the fact that they are playable in 1.0 and are NOT on the standard S rank selector at 300 pulls AND are not a limited character for 1.0 So the only option left is to be an A-rank
