Reminds me of an 80s used car salesman. The best part of that avr are the preouts which gives you the ability to use it as is until you upgrade the amp portion and then use it as a processor only. If it allows you to do each channel independently you could amplify only certain channels instead of all or nothing or only front and amp assign back or front height etc. That would allow you to upgrade your amps to more powerful mono blocks or 2 channel amps as you could afford to or desired.

Hey, What up Zach, So it's now December 2022, Given what's available currently and Marantz New Cinema Line..... If you were doing All Klipsch RP Dolby Atmos, your wanting to connect regular 7.1 but really it's 7.4 subs. and then my Atmos, or Height Front too and then I guess Height rear. If you had to pick a AVR, would you go with the New Cinema 50, SR7015, Denon AVR-X3800, or the Onkyo TX-RZ50?? All within my price point, Amp possibly future but Since Klipsch, not sure if needed at this moment, Now I guess Total I have 7.4. 6 ( the 6 are 3 pairs of Klipsch R-41sa) ( Surrounds and Back Surrounds, RP-502s. which AVR would be best for Cinema??? Not so much into gaming, however I am Super Audiophile, Tweek on Demand, Not really into zones either, just movies/ Theater. Thanks!!

Hey zac can I put earc to tv and ps5 and x box x to reciver will I play on 120 hz and I will have 5.1 Chanel and for atmos I will use for height chanells beacuse I have celing speakrs also in leaving room 🙂🙂

Any thoughts on the receiver only being able to do pre out on 2 or All Channels? With the popularity of 3 Channel Amps, I figured there might be a need for these receivers to allow the option for 3 channels pre-out. So far... No luck.

oh so your system u only got your Left n Right using your 3ch AMP ? I see L C R ports tho on the receiver in pre-out ? Im getting so confused trying to research and buildup my shopping list of items and how it all connects ;l9 hehe

@@festgnob Yes. It's actually not due to the Hardware. The 7015 allows you to actually pre out ALL of the channels if you want to. It's just Marantz settings options that restrict you. You are only able to select either 2 channel pre out, or all channel pre out. There is no setting that exists to allow 3 channel pre out. I should have checked that before buying a 3 channel amp.

I have the x2700h..until January 16 to return/exchange/upgrade for this bad boy. I need about another 700 bucks and ill have it. Part of me is telling me to wait until they add full hdmi 2.1 support. I have a 5.1.2 now but I will have a 5.1.4 then a 7.2.4 eventually with the mains amped. I'm debating this daily. To wait or not because I'd like an avr with more than one input and be able to handle 4k 12bit 120 rgb support. Not too concerned with 8k. So I'm wondering to continue saving and stick with the trusty 2700h, and get a truly "8k" or 4k120 12bit-ready avr in around 20 months. I do want 11 channels of processing. I don't know man. I love this thing. So gorgeous. You didn't mention auro 3d...either time! Can I have your job? Thanks

This is what confuses the hell out of me is that it has outputs for four heights but you can only utilize one when you have 7.2.2 but you want the 7 2.4. and you can't use that last height output.

you can do it. Just buy a minimum of a 2 channel amp and connect it to this avr. These AVR designed are made to save you the initial buy in price
