As a very satisfied Henry owner, it’s nice to see Marlin is back in business as an American firearm.

Funny , I bought my first Marlin , a 30 AS in 88 at a Big 5 store in Cali. It has been a great gun IMO . I also bought a 44 about 2yrs before Marlin sold . It has been good . Nice review !

When is Marlin/Ruger going to release the Model 39A Lever Action Rimfire?
@FourHorsemen-k2y Жыл бұрын
Sure is a sweet looking Lever gun and I’ll be adding this to my Wishlist along with the 336 classic 30-30 made by Ruger
@TheAnnoyingBoss4 ай бұрын
@@FourHorsemen-k2y skip the 336 and look amongst the sea od 1893s for a model 93 from 1921-1929. The gun that came before the 336 was also in 30-30 and it is a way better gun being the square bolt and having no saftey.

Good review and comparison with the Henry. If I didn't love my Big Boy Steel (44mag) so much- I would probably be shopping for one. This is the 2nd review I have seen showing the excellent accuracy of this new 1894. One little thing- is the checkering on the fore stock crooked? or is it designed that way?

@TheAnnoyingBoss4 ай бұрын
@@georgegao3115 ill never sell my marlin model 93 from 1921. It was bought new by my great grandpa and ganded to my grandpa and then my dad and then to me. I have the original tag that ties to it when it was new and i wont sell it to buy a new one because its in incredible shape, i can feed it modern ammo, and if i trade it for any lever gun made before it or after its a dosngrade because before theyre older and a more rougher era of history and after theyre more modern and "safties" and all these things changed. I feel like if i sell my marlin model 93 from 1921 to buy another different lever gun i am trading for an impostor. Made in new haven conn. In 1921 thats pretty dope. When you could buy a machine gun in a catalog when we we were a free country and the lever actions didnt have safties

POS Henry’s? I have 5 of them and not a lick of trouble. Same can’t be said for my brother’s JM Marlin in 357/38. I believe the Henry’s are made in the USA or not made at all!
@TheAnnoyingBoss4 ай бұрын
My old model 93 is worth way more and i know it is because if these new ones are worth these prices and my older model is better why would i sell mine for less then a new one? My old marlins previous owner before me parachuted into nacaragua in the late 1970s to drop aid and weapons to the contras to overthrow ans resist their dictator regime. And the owner before him i have a commendation letter from the military commending him for his accurate grenade launcher fire under the night, rapelling an invading force of vietcong while his men were injured and not in fighting condition. And the previous owner before that bought the gun new in his youth aquiring the funds by becoming a pickle salesboy. I have the tag that was tied to it when it was bought new. To me i cant find anything like it. No one else is going to have their original tag after a century I bet. Makes mine pretty valuble. Arguably process. Its owners being invlolved in the pickle business, the vietcong vaporizing business, and the contra arming resistance business. No new marlin has that kind of story to tell whilist also being less safe thus more dangerous. Those who trade freedom for saftey deserve neither so lets trade our safteys for freedom brothers. 30-30 is the best wild west rifle caliber for north america.
