Have you set the Bass and Treble controls on Stockwell to the 0 mark during the tests? And what was the volume knob setting? For Emberton these knobs don't exist, so it's important to make a fair comparison. Emberton certainly sounds a lot more trebly and like you're in a small room, while Stockwell sounds very bassy and like you're in a concert.

Question about stockwell 2 : How much should I adjust the volume setting of my phone? Maximum? Because the bass of my Stockwell 2 feels very soft. Although it has depth, the upper bass feels hollow. My settings: Mobile vol 70% BT vol 7 Bass 7 Ter 7
