Nice bit of kit, and there's nothing better than a genuine word of mouth review. It speaks volumes that you were so pleased with the old muck spreader that you replaced it with the exact same model.Also great that you are not shy of pointing out a few not so good points.

Ahh yes those lovely rotary spreaders cheap to buy and cheap to repair but a rigjt bugger if you have string or plastic sheet in the dung (which I'm sure you don't) nice one Rich it's always nice to have a new bit of kit I think it cheers things up around the farm
@laurenssmith95345 жыл бұрын
The wood is a part that is meant to wear out so that the metal doesn’t so once it does wear out you need to replace it so that the metal under it doesn’t wear away.
@JohnWatkinsUK5 жыл бұрын
Spot on. It's sacrificial and easy to replace.

We've got a Marshall fuel bowser at work. We had a spreader also, if memory serves it was a big one with twin axles. Boss sold it in favour of a great big rear discharge type.

Before you use it spray it with old oil, good coat all over protect the metal and paint, when you've finished using it knock the big lumps off, will last much longer, clean it properly as many times a year as you can or before it's left sat for a long time 👌

The wood lip you referred to on your last muck spreader video is in case the chains stretch and the flails will hit the wood that can be replaced and not damage the main body of the spreader.

The best way to clean a side discharge muck spreader is, once ur done spreading fill it with water and leave it ticking over obviously with the tractor and pto on, go have ur lunch come back and it will be as new then empty it and clean the outside

I will have to agree with you on what you've said there about Marshall and their spares department, they are brilliant indeed if not the best when it came to helping my neighbour's spreader 👍 and as far as I know it's still family owned and run by the son. Interesting of what they have done to the rotor especially the flail head's. 🤔 I think Farmer P should use it first since you've dirtyed his trailer with 💩
