Alex Kay (B/R) On Marshon Lattimore Trade
The New Orleans Saints are projected to be a league-high $73.7 million over the 2025 cap. If they want to get ahead on finding some much-needed relief, they have the option of trading Marshon Lattimore this offseason. Trading away Lattimore is a far more realistic option for the Saints now that the club has some depth at cornerback. The club recently added a top-flight prospect in Kool-Aid McKinstry on Day 2 of the 2024 draft, a player who could be ready to start as early as this upcoming season.

It doesn't mean anything… Marshon's been a really good player for us for a good period of time. He's one of the leaders of our team. It's just like I said, we can use as many corners as we can get… I'm not actively trying to trade Marshon. Marshon is such a good player. He's an elite corner.

It's a very tough yes for me on the Marshon-for-3rd Rd. pick. As much as you'd hate to see him go. Getting younger, faster, cheaper, and still have a great player is my philosophy.
