I so want this era of X-Men in omnibus format. I have them in single issues but would pay for the omnibus

Love these early Guardians issues. Importantly (and more tragically than Omar described), Vance Astro was actually launched into space in the 1980s to reach the far off stars in 1000 years, because that is how long such a trip would take. When he lands, it turns out technology in that time had improved so much that people had reached the stars long before. So, his trip was for nothing…he had sacrificed his 1980s life for seemingly no reason!

The best part about that Guardians Epic? Much like Ghost Rider, it confirms the team will be getting their entire history up to the before the turn of the millennium collected, so I’m hoping the next Epic they announce is for some Jim Valentino-era guardians, like how they’re skipping directly to Danny Ketch with GR's epics

I thought I had that 1st volume of Percy's GR series, turn's out it was Brisson's. I like how you slid in The Crossing Epic. I need to preorder the reprint.

The issue that started me off as an x- fan was X-Men 1991 issue 20. It and this era in general holds a very special place in my heart. Was thinking of getting the epic collection, but since I have most of the original issues, was wondering if the printing/colour is much different? I picked up the X-force X-X-Cutioner's song epic collection amd and found the print and colour much better than tade I had with the Joe Madureira over. My old trade had some pages from the original crossover issues omitted.

Definitely picking up Shang-Chi to round out the collection. I do like Sam Alexander in the Champions but I think that size difference will bug me too much

That Nova book is a head scratcher to say the least. His first run got a decent 30 issues or so but the second and third only got 11 and 7 issues. I can't imagine any other reason to reprint these except that he's going to be in the MCU soon. That would be wild considering there isn't even solid plans for the X-Men in the MCU yet. Or maybe I'm completely wrong and Sam has a huge but very silent following I'm unaware of.

I'm torn on this. If I have to wait until they print Uncanny omnibus vol.13 I'm going to be an old man. However, I've never been a fan of the Epic line. Maybe, I'll have to cave.

Great video. I was betting if you will live Guardians of the Galaxy of the X-Men to the end. I was completely sure it would be the mutants. It was nice that you give us a little peek of the Iron Man Epic Collection (The crossing) and I would really like to know what do you think. Are you going to make a comparison between the omnibus and this book? (when the time comes of course) About the X-Men book, of course is already on my wish list and as you mentioned it, I love the mapping how they are doing under one book. I wish, that they could have done the same with Spider-Man (Amazing, Team-up, Spectacular, Web, Spider-Man, Unlimited, and all the limited series and graphic novels), but at this point there is no return. They did these digest with Ms Marvel and Champions. Do you think them doing this Nova in digest form is a bad omen on us ever getting an Omni or OHC?

The last canon X-men book I read was X-Men by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee Omnibus vol. 2. I'm thinking about continue from there. Waiting for a sale of the Epics Bishop's Crossing, X-cutioner's Song and this new one, Legacies.

Sadly it's the last volume of Shang-Chi, possible Omni incoming? I hope they continue that Nova line but really want an Omni to go with my Miles Morales and Ms. Marvel.

Even with Ms Marvel, they haven’t finished the omni with a vol 2 and they haven’t reprinted the original omni. I have hardcovers for Ms Marvel that essentially act as 2 TPB and vol 5 just isn’t available anywhere under $70

Who's Star-Lord? Gamora and Drax? They are on the Infinity Watch. Rocket Squirrel? I don't know. Don't care. #NotMyGuardians. Absolutely getting that Guardians of the Galaxy Epic. And I'm going to be hoping for a Jim Valentino Era one someday.
