NEW Massey 1150 Light Pro Stock Tractor

5/26/17. This was our very first pull with the tractor. Happy that it ran good, just got into a hole in the track. Still haven't decided on a name!

I love deere pulling tractors but Im realy impressed with v8 perkins in this MASSEY. If it doesn't impress you then you must not be into prostock pulling tractors. What is realy impressive is the fact it was its maiden voyage. Unbelievable! Wow!

It's ironic that these tractors with the V-8s on the farm were not good or practical, but for pulling, Holy Cow are they amazing.

Yes they just love being under a load even stock they pull great but pretty jerky for baling ect we named our 1150 rum runner

That depends on what you were using them for. The 1150, 1155 & 2805’s were made to pull with, not to cut & bail hay !!!

Light pros have a max of 540 cubic inch motor, 4.6 turbo, and weight of 8500lbs for NTPA and 9000lbs for OSTPA

It starts at the heads of the engine, huge valves & springs etc..... they polish the heads make everything bigger and stronger, then it’s bigger, stronger everything else clear to the high pressure oil pumps that pumps, fuel pumps, etc...... it’s insane i think Gary’s Massey Ferguson 1150 in this clip is pushing 2,500-2,800 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm it may be less with the light pro turbo/fuel set up on it but it’ll run 3,000 plus with huge turbo( ‘s ) and fuel💪😂😂 that’s a V-8 too!! Most all other pullers are in-line 6’s

Ether.... Keeps the engine running until it warms up. These engines won't start, or idle, on just diesel fuel. They need something with a little more kick to get them to light off and quickly build some heat in the engine. Once the motor is warm, then it's not required.

The stock engine on an 1150 Massey Ferguson tractor would be either a 513 c.i. ( early model 1150 tractors ) or a 540 c.i. ( late model 1150 tractors ) V-8 Perkins diesel engine. They were some pretty bad boys in their stock configuration from the factory. Yet of course this one has been severely modified from its stock configuration !!!

Isn't it kind of meaningless to have a company name on a machine when it's this level of modifications? There can't be very much left of it that's original. Still cool though!
