Thanks Liz!!!! I ordered the same bedspread, and it will arrive this Saturday. I am so excited. My furniture is off white French provincial with a hand painted large Armoire and end tables to match. The headboard is the taupe brocade that is the same color as bedspread. I wanted the Chenille style and could not find the bedspread until YOU... I have 2 printed valances with the same color mixture of red, gold and the blue toile on them too. The same colors were painted on the armoire and end tables. They are gift from my daughter Chantelle. I am planning on putting 1 valance with swags on the window and taupe curtains pulled to the side and the matching boxed valance over my bed with sheers pulled back, with a Tuscan picture over bed and lots of throw pillows...It will be so warm and comfortable when I am done. I have a large off-white antique floral picture made from a polymer finish; I will be hanging over the TV. Needs greenery and think it will be done. Thanks for inspiring me, and God bless you!! Everything is beautiful Liz! I love that chenille comforter! I began using neutrals in my bedroom years ago and realized how relaxed I felt in it compared to my other rooms. I now use taupes and ivory throughout my home, but add pops of seasonal color with pillows, florals, and candles. It really changes everything without changing anything major.

We had these bed covers on our beds as children. What you call fuzzy stuff, we called candlewick as that is just what it looks like. Thus candlewick bedspreads. They were popular from the 50s to the 70s here in Scotland.

I am sooooo picky about Artwork, Miss Liz ! I completely agree. I will forgo just putting something up , because I don't want to look at things that are not " really me ", or don't speak to me . I like the idea of those mirrors NEXT to the bed, on that wall, since I'm funny about the Feng Shui of mirrors in the bedroom; it's ok to have them to each side of the bed , on the same wall as headboard, but it's bad Feng Shui to have mirrors elsewhere in the bedroom that reflect the bed. ( just my thoughts). Everything looks lovely, and that bedding is so " you " ! Thank you for sharing your room ! 🙂😊🙏🏻💛

When I feel under the weather I make this drink my Mom made. Cup of hot water, heaping teaspoon of minced ginger (comes in a jar), 1/2 teaspoon of honey, squeeze 1/4 lemon in. You could use fresh ginger, but you gotta grate it.
