Sure, there was a love/hate relationship witht the touch pad but to replace it with a...coin holder? Not sure how that is a positive. The touch pad looks way better and you do have the choice to not use it.

I bought a new model A180 in April and it is a great car but did you not notice the issue they have with the rear view camera? Every time you start the car the camera will open at around 15mph then close again at around 20mph and it will do this at least four times which is noisy and very irritating. Mercedes have advised that this is not a fault and that the camera now goes through a calibration sequence every time the car is started. I cannot understand why this is necessary as the previous version did not do this and I wondered if anyone has noticed this.

Very happy I purchased my 2022 A250 4matic rather than the facelift version.. I love the touch pad, I'm constantly using it. Only wish I had the upgraded sound system

Got a facelift A200 premium 3 weeks ago. Its my 2nd after 4 years in my previous a200 premium. I never used the touchpad but i am missing the buttons for sat nav, radio and media in the centre console. Now have to make 2 or 3 presses on the screen compared to 1 button. Does seem like a backwards step but still loving the car. Looks great in sun yellow,big change from my previous black.

how is the suspension and road noise? I heard lots of things about the body being too low to the ground causing scrapes on the underside?

@@JoshB-zc5jb the ride is fine though the car does sit low to the ground. As long as you're careful going over speed bumps it isn't a problem

@@JoshB-zc5jb yes it's an AMG Line. 18 inch were the only option. Not too keen on the Conti EcoContacts it came with though

The gear shift will need time to get used to. What if you mistake the gear shift for turn signal while driving on a highway? If you put up, will it shift to neutral? Putting down I suppose nothing will happen?

It has a safety feature - nothing will happen if you move the gear selector while driving

Nice review of interior and gadgets although for the car performance / handling you should have use the A200 which is a much better drive than the A180. This would be a better comparison the BMW 1 series. I agree 1series is a better drive, but aesthetically ( build quility aside) the A class is far superior, inside and out. Plus you get a lot more tech & gadgets as standard. BMW always stingy with their tech

I got a A200 pre facelift and I never use the touchpad. Love the car. Maybe I will upgrade to a A250e this year but they cost as much as a EQA 250+, its crazy, so why not go all electric for the same price? Greetings from 🇸🇪

Had a 2021 A class 180, the comfort of the car was just not it, over bumps and imperfections it was just so rough. Probably worst I had. Thought it was to do with being a hatchback, or just entry level mercedes not being up to standard, maybe just me tho

It’s definitely smoother than a BMW 1 Series - unless it’s the facelift they’ve updated the suspensions… really wasn’t to bad
