In today’s MercBenzKing's episode, we present to you the all-new facelift Mercedes AMG A45S in a Night drive through Zurich. It has a 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder engine that produces 421 HP and does 0-100 km/h. in 4 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250km/h.

Mercedes-Benz used to be only introduce ground breaking new technology in every new S-Class generation. Since a few year they have introduced new technology almost in every new generation model.
I drive a GLC with AMG package and a GLE. The latter is a special design one-of-one MercBenzKing Edition. The videos are online on the channel.

A facelift that looks 95% the same as the pre-facelift, has the exact same engine, yet lacks one of the most-useful and best-looking features of the interior: the touch pad. It's also a car that starts from €72.5K and immediately reaches €80K (yes, you read that correct) with just the basic options, like aero & dark package, paint, sunroof and the wheels you see here. And the funniest part: the pre-facelift, which was available up until the end of 2022 started at €59K! Well, what's not to love about the A45S! 😆

I agree only for the increase price, in italy it cost 4k more than the previous. But now you have new steering wheel, new front and rear lights (i like them more than the pre-facelift), second gen. MBUX, full usb-c ports and even the sound of the engine is changed.

@@DArgenio96 My friend do you know for a fact that in Italy it's only €4K more than the pre-facelift? I'm actually interested in this. In Germany it's nearly €10K more (and €11K for the CLA 45S).

Totally agreed. If you have a prefacelift, keep it. Removing the touch pad, removing some ambient lighting etc is all just cost cutting. It's not an upgrade. It's a downgrade.

This facelift is better and i tell you why. 1)They removed the touch pad because a touchscreen is way better choise. 2) I personally prefer the front and rear light of this facelift. 3) they have added the usb-type c. 4)The sound now is so much better than the pre-facelift. I don't understand why for you this could be a downgrade, i mean that's a lot of improvements.

@@SDav21 They have not removed the ambient lightning from the doors, it depends to optional, this is the reason why this A45s doesn't have it.

@@DArgenio96 If you have the ambient lighting in the dash, it should be in the doors as well. There isn't an option to not have it in the doors and to then add it.

@@DArgenio96 1) Having a touch pad gives additional choices. And as you can see from a lot of comments, a lot of people used it. Me included when I had a long term GLB loaner. The touch pad was more convenient and safer to use while the car was moving. Removing it is simply cost cutting. Because if touch screen was a better choice, they would've also removed it from the facelift GLE and the GLE still has it. 2) the front lights having 1 strip is cost cutting yet again because the module that looked like a tick would be more expensive to produce. 3) the previous model did have USB C already. It's all cost cutting.

I have the pre fl a45s, tried asking mercedes from where i live, they dont sell the dark chrome badges. I live in Taiwan and the fl version only came out last month. What a bummber, the dark chrome badges are the only thing good about the fl imo.

I’m a Mercedes fanboy but I’ve been M.I.A for a few years with this brand, they’ve lost focus and direction over the years. RS 3 Sportback Vorsprung is winning an A 45s AMG, BMW X6 M Competition is winning a GLE/GLC etc. I hope they gain sense next year!

@@donsicariofx Young people are mostly not in the position to buy a Mercedes for over 100.000 bucks, maybe not even for 10.000 bucks, so an A-AMG 45 is out of range. I know, there are SOME kids who can grab an used CLA45 AMG for 40.000 bucks, but that's the money they worked for from 16-25. And then they are immediatly bankrupt after 9 years of underpaid work and savings. .... You know, I ordered my first Mercedes in my 20s too, but it was a brandnew C-Class with a V6 for 45.000 and perfect for a young man, because it looked like a small S-Class. But 3 years later already it felt too small, so I changed to E-Class. But I installed a financing on it, with the chance to give it back after 3 years and save a lot money on it. Now show me "young people" who get a loan, a financing for such a car. Even with a running business, Mercedes wants to see your balances and will check your bank-account, before they even give the green light for the loan. "Young people" have seldom a regular cash-flow and will likely not even get the loan. That's why they have to pay 100% cash and without the moneys, there are no ponys. 100.000-bucks-hothatches and young people do not match, that's why you see so little.

My explanation, at least in Germany is, that the people that are throwing most of their available income to drive this car want to "show" it off. Their entire personality dictates that, otherwise they would've opted for a more fuel economic and cheaper Toyota. So in short "because they have to get satisfaction out of something that costs them almost everything"

These cars are nothing but glamorize money after 4 years of ownership the value of these automobiles drop forty-five to fifty percent unless you own a bank it's going to be difficult to keep up with the maintenance because the engine consist of tons of plastic parts and you know what happens when heat and plastic meet up plastic melts and gets brittle now you have tons of leeks do you research people these cars look nice but it's all a facade

Terrible car. Poor build and material quality. And the facelift is just an exercise in cost cutting. Removing the touch pad and some ambient lighting is just cost cutting. They shouldn't have bothered facelifting this thing. If you have a prefacelift, keep it. The facelift seems like a downgrade in every respect. This is the laziest and poorest facelift I've ever seen from any carmaker. Removing features and cutting costs doesn't equate to a facelift.
