2023 Mercedes AMG A45 S FACELIFT | Full Review A Class Drive Interior Exterior Sound

In April 2021, I configured the CLA 45 (not the S), which is now unavailable, with quite literally every major option. My final price was €67K, which at the time was too much for me (I could only go for €60K). A week ago, I went to spec the facelift CLA 35, which is 70-something less horses than what the CLA 45 was. I added half of the options I did then (no AMG Ride Control, no Burmester, no memory seats, no AMG seats, and many others) and my final price was €73.500. I can only imagine what the price would be, had I tried the CLA 45S! We are living in crazy times my friends!

@@f.j4606 Close my friend, it's around €92K if you fully spec it, but you can get it for €83.500 if you go for the Street Style Edition which offers most of what you need. However, a fully spec A 45S in 2022 (pre-facelift) was €79K. And that's with literally everything on board.

Bought my fully speced cla 45s ordered it December 2020. 66k euro. I went into the configurator yesterday for the new model, same specs for 96k euro. And they even removed the touch pad, and the buttons on the steering wheel. So I’m getting less, but paying more..? 😂 Guess it’s good for my cars current value ..

I totally agree with you in terms of the interior, it's a setback in comfort and function. The new stearing wheel feels great, it is slighty thicker so it feels better in your hands while steering but the touch buttons are a total mess. 5 attempts to adjust the music volume and if it finally reacts at all you end up in an undesired volume setting - its very unprecise. The old layout was perfect and very user friendly. Second big flaw is the center console: You get this ugly storage space which is too small(in length) for a regular smartphone and too shallow to really store something in there. Not only is the touch pad badly missing, which was ideal for controlling the center screen while driving, but also did they ditch the comfortable hand rest! Now your hand is dangling free with no support, a big minus in comfort on longer trips in my opinion. Last but not least I liked the former instrument designs a lot more. Classic is still ok but jeez what where they smoking when designing the sport modes??? Looks like they downright approved the fantasy of some 14 year old gaming geek, awkwardly out of place in a Mercedes.

I just owned an rs3 2023 model and had a test drive new M2. Hands down. The M2 is far more fun than the rs3 and A45s.

I know this is a Mercedes page but I’m mixed between getting an A class, Audi A3 or golf for cheaper price. A class obviously takes it for the interior design but apart from that I’m not sure if overall it’s the best one out of the 3.

Is it possible to skip music with the steering wheel? I used to do that with the TouchPad, but they removed it

It is. When you use the "classic" display you can choose to show what media you are playing. Then you can switch between different tracks by swiping with up or down on the left side of the steering wheel. Alternatively, you can navigate to your media on the central display and then switch between tracks by using the right side of the steering wheel. However, if you ask for a way to do that without navigating to a specific display first, I don't think there is an option to do that. If you feel super fancy, you can also just tell the car to skip, go back or stop altogether.

No, it's not planned. It'll keep the M139 with 421hp. In the A-Class the Motor is fitted transversely, in the C-Class the Motor is fitted longitudinally, so there is no place for fitting the M139l in an A-Class.
