To be specific, the turbos have larger turbines from the E43 version of the same engine. The torque arrives slightly higher but remains for longer until 5200 RPM, higher than before. The aim was for a smoother mid range and a bit better top end. The standard 'sport ' seats are not supportive enough when your really cornering hard, so re seats depends on how you drive. But if you need the AMG bucket seats because you push it alot, you'll notice the suspension is just a bit too soft for that. It's a great balance of ride vs handling, compared to the more hardcore C63/ S.

I have the new c43 but a coupe, almost the same spec and i love it. You can say fake amg as much as you want but man the feeling this car gives you is amazing. And the only reason it bought a c43 instead of a 63/63s ic because of the 4 matic, it’s really important where i live.

Burazzers it’s a great car and the sound is amazing. My dad bought one the other week and he’s waiting for quantum tuning to come out with the software to get it tuned. I was shocked that the car had just under 400hp because it really takes off when you stick the right foot down

The days where I miss this generation C-class, and this C43 is the best one compared to the current one. The current one with the 2.0L turbo 4 isn't horrible, but the sound is weird, and I miss that V6 that this had. Plus the design was perfect.

Max please tell me. I drove both the C63 and C43 yesterday and I can't make up my mind, which to buy. The C43 seems the better overall car... less expensive, powerful, decent noise, comfortable, well equipped... but that sport mode on the C63 won over my heart !!!

Re the gearbox, all the down shifts were instant until you tried to hit 3rd and were going to fast for that gear. The soft rev limiter is too easy to hit on 1-2 I'll give you that.

@@matoberry I believe it would have fit as the W205 rode on the same MRA platform as the E-Class (and S-Class) and the M256 was not as long as you’d expect. It was only about 6” longer than the M276. They kept the length in check several ways. It used undersquare bore/stroke, its a belt-less engineso there’s no pulleys or other accessory drives on the front of or back of the engine, and it’s bore spacing is much closer together than M276. It may be a little bit longer than M276, but it’s about the same length as the M176/178 4.0TT V8

The 43 engine is a very fast car!! I have the GLC43 AMG SUV and I raced E63s from 85mph to 137 I beat it by two cars! I also beat a BMW M550i from a stop to 70mph. How could that be possible with a V6 biturbo VS V8?? I am still shocked and speechless. The Mercedes guys asked if I had a tune done to my SUV I said no. He shook his head and made exit. I have 48k miles and suv runs faster than I bought it new. How can a 4.3 seconds to 60 mph beat M550i that does 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds?? I will never trade my SUV.

Only the tips are fake. And technically, they aren't. Just because it's not connected, it doesn't mean they are fake. It still makes a small difference.

If you get bumped, the tips can move without damage to the exhaust and everything it connects to. It’s also easier to clean the tips because they don’t bake deposits in.

The exhaust pipes aren't "fake" at all! Stop this "fake"- blabla bullshit, because these end-pipes are totally functional. Almost every AMG has this kind of fixed mounted end-pipes, which can't move any mm! "Fake" means, that the exhaust gases can't pass the visible end pipes and have actually another but more hidden pipe under the rear of the car.

The facelift with AMG PE has no sound from the speakers. There is no fuse or connection, and no noise from the speakers. All C43 owners on the forum have looked into this extensively.

No speaker add on. Sport+ does enable sport exhaust loud mode. This is a wagon, rear sounds reach the front easily. Drop the rear seats and get even more.
