They cant , it will require a lot of money and the brands will lose their image as value for money

there is tax slabs on vehicle by length and engine displacement , they will have to evolve with the indian market as they don't have a major foreign market . no one would buy a 70l mahindra or tata , anywhere in the world local brands are always looked down and foreign brands are highly apricated , that tendency is even more pronounce in india. where you will find a huge lot of "car guys" hating on indian brands for nothing.
