Armands Deglavs "Finally a good looking SL"?! You must have never heard of the 1955 300SL Gullwing, nor the R230 series SL (2003-2012), have you? Those are, to this day, two of the most beautifully designed automobiles. Well, at least in my opinion.

A man's car in the true sense as far as cabriolet's go. The design is now more masculine than ever before with a massive power train under the bonnet and who can forget the pedigree that the SL brand has had for a better part of 60 years...

We had the 400 / 450 (US), it's just V6 vs V8, nothing more. It's the same car and is not really that different

AMG GT would be a better base for a true SL, and even better with a soft top, to have better style, cause the retractable hard top sacrifice design over function.

There has been a tendency in the industry to go to these gaping, shark like front fascia and grills that makes the cars look almost animated and expressive. Yes, I may even jump onto the sidewalk at the sight of this aberration and overstated design feature, other than that I hope that this becomes a short lived tantrum much as the BMW accentuated trunk, has gone the way of all expressions in extreme.
