A quick glance at the front panel of the California Tweed 2:20 reveals single-channel simplicity. Channel features include Normal & Low Inputs, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, & Master Controls. Our legendary vintage all-tube, spring reverb with external reverb switching jack and a fully buffered, tube-driven series FX loop round out a feature set that delivers everything you need for golden tone, and absolutely nothing more.
The California Tweed 2:20 is powered by 2x6V6 Power Tubes while the preamp features 5x12AX7 and 1x12AT7 preamp tubes. Our patented Incremental Multi-WattTM (Patent 9,917,560) Power Amp, featuring Duo-ClassTM (Patent 7,173,488) and Dyna-WattTM technologies, provides three power levels, two operating-classes, and three wiring options via a single 3-Way Rotary Switch! Choose from the following power options:
20 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Pentode - Fixed Bias
10 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Triode - Fixed Bias
1 Watt - 1x6V6 Pentode, Single-Ended Class A - Cathode Bias

This is like the only demo that doesn’t just play the same tweed woofy tone. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful tone. But I’m so happy to hear some more glassy, bright, articulate tones that rival even some British amps. Well done! I’m sold on this

I agree completely.! All but 1 of the other demos showed nothing "sweet" at all! It does more than "woof" and rattle!

@@LarkGuitars yeah... we're SO proud of the job done by our R&D! The Blackbird 12-40 is really nice, but the 10-40 is possibly even more impressive. Same magnet, same voice coil but the cone is significantly smaller... a couple of tricks and fine-tuning and it sounds almost as big as the 12"... I could not believe my ears when I played the final prototype! Glad you liked them!

Great Demo/ Awesome playing. Also, 1st demo playing a Billy Joel tune...But demonstrates single lead w/chording well. Now the debate will be 1X12 or 1X10.

i had the 4:40...I miss the tones... I can't decide between 10" or 12" ...the 10 seems told hold its own for sure

I've got the 4:40 and wish I would've gotten the 2:20 instead. The 40W is simply too much for the house unless I want my neighbors to call the cops on me. Sounds great though.
