What campaign objectives for buying page likes and for messaging or messages? I'm so confused this new meta fb ad campaign objectives. Thanks brother

For page likes, we use to use the "Engagement" objective and you could then choose "Page likes" but it appears that's no longer available. They might have gotten rid of that option. For messages you'll choose the "Leads" objective and then choose messages at the ad set level. You might be able to run a messenger campaign to get Page likes. Page like campaigns typically aren't very helpful. You end up with a lot of bad traffic to your Facebook page. You're better off growing it organically.

How to update from the old to new campaign objectives?

No need to update it. If you create a new campaign and it's showing you the new objectives then you can use the new ones. If it's still on the old ones, you can stay on those. The objectives themselves haven't changed, just the way Meta presents them to you.

@@-IamYourFan It's ok to use the old one. The objectives themselves haven't changed. It's really just a UI change so you still have access to the same objectives. Meta will eventually update you to the new one over time.

I would start with a lead generation campaign. With that type of campaign you can build a form on Facebook that can capture their info. It's one of the easiest ways to generate leads. And then when you're ready for it, you can create your own landing page to boost lead quality.

Facebook chooses who gets the new version. Not sure how they choose who gets the new version but the old version still has of the same options for the most part.
