There is a shortcut to turn off lane assist..just swipe finger down from top middle of the screen to turn it off..also those pedal responses reviewer mentioned is most likely the regenerative braking which i am surprised she did not mention. There are 3 levels to choose from, default is middle option and is a great feature normally only found in full EV's and this puts more energy back onto the battery. I have my silver trophy MG3 Hybrid 10 days now and love it. Unbeatable value and powertrain with tons of tech/safety kit thrown in with a 7 year warranty. Did a 22 mile journey yesterday, mix of motorway/city/rural roads and mpg was 60.1 so very happy with that. The seats are also very comfortable and having 192 bhp on tap for this price is the cherry on top.

I have just ordered a red trophy model! I had a test drive today and really enjoyed the regen breaking at level 2 have you figured out the adaptive cruise control system? I found it really confusing.

I'd sooner pay extra for a reach and rake steering and a 40/60 rear seat split. Should be standard or at least an option.

Fair stab at it. Be cheap. And looks so so. That said Duster third time facelifted looks ace and that is cheap. Half price Yaris. Be tempting. Irrespective residuals. Which won’t be a thing on monthlies. This is like a rent a box on wheels. Thought of at £209 a month it literally is just a wheeled loan.

Good review, and having been the owner of an identical car for a month I can confirm it's a great car. EXCEPT for MG UK. If you get a flat tyre don't bother trying to find a replacement! The car comes with tyres that are only available in AUSTRALIA!!!!!!! AND when I spoke to MG UK, there suggestion was essentially they don't have a suggestion, and there's nothing more they can do!!!! My dealer when I said I would need to potentially reject the car if the puncture I got couldn't be repaired, at least rescued the situation by offering to take a tyre from another presumably unsold car. Fortunately my local Tyre fitters were able to remove the large screw that was inbedded, and carry out a repair... How can MG carry on selling this model knowing that if an owner gets a flat tyre and it needs replacing, you can't get another one!!!!

It's in Ireland. 3 specs, available starting at 23,000 ish up to 28,000 ish for the spec shown here. Top spec is same price as entry level Yaris hybrid.

I would never consider this car because of where it's built ! Not known for manufacturing quality products. Thats far more important for me than a heated steering wheel which "everyone wants", not sure thats too high on my "want" list.

I have a late previous gen Yaris. The interior quality is woeful. Creaky plastics, poor trim etc. But I know it won’t go wrong and will go on for ever. Timing chain engine too. Not the dire wet belt shite.

We have a new Corolla. It is possible the engine will last but the build quality isn’t great and the paintwork is poor. If it is still around in ten years it will most likely look very shabby.

Cheap ‘n nasty and dull as dishwater. Zero steering feel, vague handling and not a lot of room…..what’s not to love? Chinese MG are flooding the European market with these Chinese made things (allegedly huge stockpiles over there) but I guess some will buy them because they’re (relatively) cheap.
