I responded that it was none of their damn business where I was voting from. Deleted the message. Checked my voter registration to make sure I was still registered to vote in my city.

@@kellyburket6955 In my state and district, a form of photo ID is required, DL, passport usually. In 37 states a photo ID is required with all in- person voting. Voter registration alone is not accepted. Absentee or mail in ballots must be requested ahead of time, be approved with a valid notarized reason, application filled out and copy of your ID must be included. You need to brush up on what your state requirements are now.

Blocking does nothing. If a scammer organization is targeting your number then they have access to call you and to text you from infinite supply of internet phone numbers. How do you think the call centers can afford to make all those calls every day? They are calling you from internet phones. Those phone numbers are dirt cheap. If you don't want to be bothered then switch to internet phone lines like they use and they will not waste their time on you because they will think you are a scammer like they are scammers.

I was blocking every number across 5+ years but then my company, NCR, switched to the same phone system the scammers use to cut costs. Every time dispatch called us it looked like scammer calls on our ends. And I had blocked so many numbers across so many years, I started getting complaints from dispatchers that my phone number was invalid. Because NCR was using a scammer's discarded and burned out phone number and because I already had that number blocked. Scammers can have 10 fresh phone numbers every day if that is what they wanted. Blocking the number only makes them more determined and more aggressive to target you. I've blocked at least 10,000 scammer numbers and that gets you recieving 30 to 50 calls a day when they change their numbers out.
