Great video! And love the info, but overall I still think Midjourney is on it's way out. It's too restrictive and too "locked in" when it comes to style and censorship.

I think that Midjourney will always be a popular option for someone who just quickly wants somethign as an alternative to searching to a stock photo. But yeah - as it is now, it's not good at doing very specific requests.

Midjourney has some good qualities, but I’m still not convinced to pay for it unless it gets better at creating consistent characters, posing custom characters in scenes, and also allowing us to keep our creations private without having to pay an extra $20 per month just for privacy.

MJ 5.2 is incredible. When you were doing the stylize parameter demo, I saw the first generation and was already like 'wow, that's pretty good!' Haha. I'm really looking forward to a SDXL video though. Apparently the hardware requirements to run it locally are pretty modest.

Yep, they look like what a portrait from the time would have actually looked like. Incidentally, that's also mostly what some test renders with Stable Diffusion gave me. (Though obviously there's always a way to change it up when you're using SD...)

Inpainting is changes you do to the generated image, like replacing one detail with another. Outpainting is to generate content outside of the image's borders, effectively making it larger.
