Dear Chuck, i'm an Italian comic book collector and every time i watch this videos the only word i can say is ...amazing! This is your job, but beyond, this is your passion and i very appreciate your vision of work and life. Thru the years i' ve purchased many times comics from your website and everything has always arrived to me packaged with extreme care. Carry on Mr.Chuck! A big hug, from Bologna, Italy Marco

Used to order comics through snail mail as a kid cause the comic store was too far for my mom to drive me lol. Just seeing the Mile High logo fills me with nostalgia. ❤️

My first comic shop was mile high at the Washington ST location. Before I was buying comics at 7-11 (dating myself). When you walked in past the turn styles there was a small movie theatre in the middle of the store you could sit down and watch movies. I take my kids to the Jason st now and the look on their eyes was the same as mine as a kid. Chuck is awesome.

An amazing tour from a truly amazing guy. The tours are so much better, meaningful and inspirational when he conducts them himself. But I'm not sure he's figured that out yet. There is something really magical and awesome when he is doing the tour himself. Otherwise it comes across as just some visitors wowed by the numbers. The fact he wants to feed so many poor folk and express himself in a way that is true to his passion, is quite remarkable. I was forced to sell my silver age comics off when I was younger. Had all the marvels from #1 and up...Just turned 65 this year and am buying back my collection slowly. I know what he means when he says he doesnt' want to sell them but only wants to buy them.

Nice tour, Chuck. Thanks. Interesting to hear about the old pulps disappearing. I still have my Dad's collection because no one wanted it back in the 1980s.

I've been able to swing by the mega-store about four times on various road trips and enjoyed the experience. Now I live too far away. Oh, well. Maybe one more time when I retire and make an epic road trip.

Hey Chuck, Greetings from Scotland, Always great to watch your videos and awesome to have a new store tour it was thoroughly enjoyable to see and I have watched a few older tours and stories from you over the years. My main collecting was from 1982 - 1992, then I stopped for 23 years, then have been back collecting again for the last 6 years. I am definitely a comic hoarder but on a slightly smaller scale... lol Thanks again :) Cheers

I would love to re bag and board the entire store. It's like meditation to me. Take a comic out of it's bag get your bags & boards out and one by one you take them out, admire the art and the smell of the pages, and proceed to put it in a new bag & board. The world just slips away and all that's left is the experience.

These videos of your store are fun! Please consider using a wireless mic and it will keep your audio from cutting out when you turn your head, and the sound will be clear and consistent. The wireless mic systems are very affordable.

21:05 - If the person selling to you is a family member or friend of a recently deceased collector and isn't familiar with you, then that question about payments is reasonable. Don't get too offended in that circumstance.

I think any seller would be worried about receiving only $1000 a week. If Chuck is paying out on 100 collections at any given time, he's juggling a lot of balls in the air. The sellers are basically providing interest-free loans of a year or two. And he could have much as $5 million in debt outstanding at any given time (100 x $50,000) based on 100 $25,000-$100,000 collections. It's an intriguing business model. Of course, he also pays only about 10 cents for run-of-the-mill comics so there are some deep profits there too.

I can relate to the owner’s philosophy of not wanting to really sell stuff. He should theme the store (in terms of constructing thespacial design like a museum or theme park attraction).

It’s mind boggling the sheer size of his inventory. He really doesn’t need to buy anymore comics just by his own omission that his staff can’t keep up with pricing! The reason he hasn’t been able get more pulp comics has nothing to due with climate change, it’s most likely because he has purchased most of them the last fifty years! Lol! I like his numbering system in keeping track of his stock. Btw, can you imagine repacking all those comics in bags and boards again!

If you are not interested in selling then why even put a price on the books? I get you want to bring people in but it does seem like a kid thumbing their nose at everybody but it's just my opinion and that old saying about opinions speaks here.
