Awesome you got your milk machine! Interesting to hear the theory of not draining out after the milk machine. Never heard they would hold it back if you di the extra drain. Good video!
@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s what they say about the machine is not to strip after I did measure the milk and it seems like they are putting out what we normally get by hand I think there may be one more squirt left after the machine but I haven’t been getting that last squirt out. 😁 I might have to on milk test day though you know because every squirt counts 😂

I absolutely LOVE your set up. Clean, organized, well planned out and the machine looks sooo easy. I’ve been saying I won’t get any milking animals for years until my husband is home all the time to milk them but with a set up like this maybe I could do it before then. Definitely something to keep in my mind.

Soo...you've probably figured it out by now, but if you want it to alternate teat pulsation timing to copy hand milking you need two of the skinny vacuum hoses attached to the pulsator, and the other end to each inflation. Milking two goats is done when you split each of those vacuum hoses with a Y then one from each side to each inflation. Not sure it matters, but just a note. Other than that that's an amazing setup. Love the sink.

I could milk a goat and a cow with the same system, correct? I would just have to adjust the pulsator in-between milking each animal? I was trying to figure the cost saving between buying this and a surge bucket - the inflations/tubing for each animal is basically the cost of a used surge. I'm still intrigued!
@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
I don’t know about milking cows only goats I’m guessing you would need different inflations and possibly a stronger pump?

Hello guys. I love your content. Can you tell me now that you’re two years into this milk machine do you still hang your tubes to air dry or do you hook them up to something to make them dry? When I hang man they never get completely dried out. I was wondering if you still practice is exact same routine
@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
Yes I still hang them to dry. I do use a rag and dry the rim if there is water pooled in it. If you suck air through it after cleaning that helps. 😁
