In this video I show min initial impressions of the new Milwaukee Packout 3 drawer multi depth and 4 drawer units. Cover some interesting tidbits about the designs and compare them to the old 2 and 3 drawer units. As well as start to consider what type of mods or drawer rearranging may be possible.

I want to swap an older model 2 drawer, bottom drawer and the 2 bottom drawers from a 4 drawer. HoW do i remove the drawer slides from the new 4 drawer to be inserted into the 2 drawer box. I have four two drawer boxes and love the new 2+1 big drawer units.

I do not believe this to be possible. And I would advise against doing so...

They added the metal bar to the 3 same drawer as well.

Just pull it out, on the slides there are two little white tabs to push up and down and then it releases. Like any standard drawer slide really.

I hate that every one of the 3 drawers, the big drawer drags even when empty. You can here it scrapping when you open it. I looked at a bunch of the two drawer and other side three drawer and none of them drag. The design change in the rails that you're talking about I think is what did it.

Jump to 12 minutes in on this video and you'll see the European 2 and 3 drawer versions already have the 'new' bracing bar. Also, can small M12 tools fit in the 4 drawer? Impact, drill, ratchet, etc....

From my analysis I would be inclined to say it will not work... Like 90% sure of this without even attempting. Also... The process you would need to go through to move them around, would require a lengthy, complex disassembly of items not meant to come apart. Even if you could, it would not be worth the hassle...

@@leviniezen452 I do not own all the items mentioned, but my drill and impact fit. Its very very tight however... Like if you don't put them in the drawer the exact right way it will not close or open. Hope that helps.

Will M12 Ratchet and M12 stubby fit in 4 Drawer?

I don't have the ratchet but the m12 stubby will fit if you remove the belt clip.

I am nearly certain Milwaukee has dimensions on their website. www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Storage-Solutions/PACKOUT/48-22-8444 There are dimensions in the photos of every box! I could test with some tools... But considering there are likely infinite combinations of stuff people may try to put in these, I am not sure what the point of that would be. I could toss in 2-3 tools but it would be irelevent for 95% of everyone watching I feel like. Also, generally we are not really a review type channel, more simply informational. So my goal was simply facts about the new box, not really my opinion or review type content. Thanks for the comments though! Appreciate the feedback :)

We don't really do much with foam... There are plenty of other folks doing foam stuff out there. I personally don't use foam much for organizing tools myself.
