I also had one that arrived slightly broken and there did not seem to be an extra roll of fortunes. It worked well enough just to see what it was all about. They were very kind about exchanging it. Waiting for the replacement. It does seem to be a very funny and enjoyable conversation item.

Got mine few days ago! It rocks!! I ve been waiting for a year to get it! :D

Mine was just returned for warranty repair. Half of the back case screws were missing and the lights behind and to each side of Zoltar were hanging loose and one not working. Lastly lots of inside case dust. I’m excited to get it back and hope things are resolved as this is very neat. 😊

Love it.. it never really tells you on your fortune in a yes or no it just wants you to come back and keep putting money in it.. they still have them at sideshow 😊

I noticed that as well - in the end of video when Zoltar speaks he didn't animate.

There was a production delay involving the ticket dispenser. I think they decided to change the type of motor they were using. As with all their products the attention to detail and quality is appreciated.

As stated in the video, Big put this machine on the map. But the color of this cabinet doesn't match the movie. New wave's is mostly gold, and the movie one was mostly blue and red. I'm sure New Wave's is based on an original design, but maybe it would have been cool to see 2 different editions. Maybe tbis one, and one that resembled the one from the movie. I bought a much lower quality version from Tj Maxx about 3 years ago. That one matched the color from the movie, but the quality, detail, and function doesnt compare to New Wave.

The BIG version is not an actual Zoltar machine. It was designed for the film. I assume that New Wave would have to deal with an additional license to sell that one.

The Big version is a movie prop. They would have to pay a big licensing fee, if they could even manage to get it. Then it would be even harder to build than this one

@@TheFutureLooksGrimm i'm sure they could pay the fao schwartz licensing fee. Can't be more expensive than the coca cola license for their mini vending machines. You know coke don't come cheap

@@TheFutureLooksGrimm Agreed, the coin-drop feature would be pretty much impossible to engineer at 1/6 scale.

This is what i'm searching for. Do you know if there's a mini replica of Zoltar Speaks from Big? I want the little wheels, the red eyes, the breathing and the tune "I wish I were big"
