Had the most fun in this game when the GS/Hatchet meta was dominant. And I don’t even played that build. I played Spear/Hatchet/Rapier, and it was pretty balanced. It wasn’t meta In wars, it whanst meta in OPR. And, as I predict when I was playing, they would eventually nerf the spear… A weapon that wasn’t meta, and was probably the most balanced melee weapon. And why? Because they had and aversion to balancing certain other things, that eventually broke the game. And the sad part is, most players are at fault also for this, cause most kept complaining about the wrong balance points

They are copying Eve Online' s sharding system, at least in architecture. Played Eve for 20+ years. By starting the shard test, fairly sure that's where they are headed. I see two or three mega servers per region if they hired the right back-end devs.

@kaiserRoll, you do realize new world is the mmo for jocks. Console launch is going to be a half billion dollar payday. If you enjoy the game, youre hoping for a similar trajectory to ESO. A universally hated game at launch. Doomed to failure. Then came console launch. Then came one tamriel followed quickly by housing. Double the valuation of Zenimax and they sold shortly after to MS. Good luck on your GED sweety.
