Sharing the same “bones” as the ICE version is not an advantage. It might be cheaper and faster to get to market but it has been shown in other instances to be a detriment long term as there are unnecessary design flaws not needed for an EV platform. This ignores the efficiency and safety advantages of EV based designs.
