Out for a third hard bash with the New Mojave EXB. Again this rig did not disappoint! Such a killer truck to make your own! I did go ahead and install the M2C +2mm hexes with double wheel nuts to ensure the wheels stayed tight! Truck took an absolute beating and held together! The only break was the rear body mount and also the rear drive cups were getting worn. This happens when you have a big power system and going hard! Again, M2C makes EXB 4140 tool steel outdrives and cups that are a perfect upgrade! HUGE shoutout to ‪@ARRMARC‬ ‪@HorizonHobbyProducts‬ and M2C Racing!

Bummer Paul! Guys at my flight club thought it sounded louder than it should.....when I received my EXB, I cleaned/regreased and tried to shim the diffs.....SOP.......it’s very likely my 20+ yrs owning a race/dynomometer shop here in SoCal, doesn’t translate to 1/8 scale❤️

What’s the best motor esc combo you reccomend that isn’t over powerful but not slow about 70 mph

As far as power, the 1730 or 1480kv 4092 size motors are powerhouses. Probably hard to get 70 out of the truck without it taking off.🤣🤣Speed is all in gearing anyway. But the more you gear, the more amps and heat you will create. This truck runs around 50-55mph bashing with a 22 tooth pinion on the 1730kv. Acceptable heat also.

Hi Eric. I have a Set of M2C 3160 ARRMA MOJAVE 17MM HEX EXTENDED 2MM × 1 in the post. Already seen few people had rims fly off on the EXB & stripping Wheel hexes! I stripped few sets of wheel hexes in the past, gets expensive on PL wheels etc... Waiting on the drive cups & the Max6 esc plate from M2C. Thanks for the heads up fella. 👍

@@paulclancy2404 I got the Losi Baja Rey Raptor in Blue, a Lemon right out of the box and support has taken over 30 days. Now they tell me that's a normal noise from this vehicle, I don't hear the noise from other Rc's that have it on you tube..Took it to a hobby shop and had them fix it..new to Rc's. Looking at Traxxas right now for a Crawler, Monster Truck and a Boat. Thanx for your reply Paul

I love this video, but I'm a little confused why your video's title says "Toughest out of the box" yet you describe all of the modifications you did to the components. So we really are not seeing "Out of the box" performance are we?

Well, Overall I do believe it to be the toughest out of the box like I mentioned in the end. It has the same Outdrive/ cups shortcomings of all the Arrma 6s range. The M2C hexs solves the wheels coming loose but other than those couple things, the truck itself is a total tank!😱No other parts were bent or broken after several hard bashes. The Mojave is already tough but the EXB version is that much stronger.😎💪👊👊🤙

Thanks so much!😎The EXB Outdrives will only fix the EXB diffs since they have fatter shafts. M2C also makes regular 4140 steel cups and Outdrives for the regular 6s that will fit the old Mojave!😎💪👊👊

Sounds like a diff😝 I added outer bearing shims to mine before driving it the first time. So far so good. I explained recommend setups tips in the first vid I did with it. I'd check your front and rear ring or crown gears for wear or chipped teeth.

I heard some people on youtube are swaping out the rear diff of the Mojave 6s to the Kraton EXB and it fits right in with a small mod. they hold up alot better. Have you heard about that yet?

Man, that's a great place to run your truck! Places like that are few and far between in western Washington, as its so wet here, any dirt is only bare for a short time until weeds are growing in it! I like your driving style! Flat out!(some vids, the guy is on-off, on-off) I was wondering how much more does it cost to build the EXB v/s the RTR and is the extra cash worth it? I have a brushless Slash 4x4 with OBA (sounds awesome!) and I should have gotten the ultimate. I had to replace the plastic shocks and drive shafts within a week. I know the esc, motor and servo, which radio and receiver do you suggest? 😊 Thanks!

I did some shimming bc this review truck when I received it, still had an open rear diff. Arrma fixed that before the release of the truck. Any trucks ordered now will have LSDx1 setup.👌The only other shimming I did was the outer bearing front and rear for a tighter ring/pinion mesh.😎💪🤟🤟

@@gregg7761 it runs pretty damn well. It's fast. Really fast, but everything is relative. I usually drive on 5s, and it is plenty fast for where I regularly drive. Tons of power. I used the stock pinion, and the motor gets warm, not hot, but it's cold out here right now. I'm pleased. No plans to change at the moment.

We don't realize how much m2 chassis doing for longevity, not just about bending , when they get used for bashing they flex , to those who are on budget or can't afford a t2t brace works wonders , arrma good co. That listened but not really a t2t brace .
