Just done mine today. Having always used animal wool, ouch pouches.....basically anything in there. I can confirm they are AMAZING. An amazing idea filling the negative space in the shoe. Easy to use. Definitely buy again xx

I am sure these work for a lot of dancers, which is great but it was not very useful for my second toe which is longer, was more painful than with normal padding even though I carefully followed all the instructions and watched videos, in fact I am quite 😢 as they are not cheap …. This is my experience and hopefully they will work for others as this is a clever idea. What I am trying now is to add padding to my big toe so that it becomes the same length as the second toe, in order for the weight (as I am 179cm tall) to be distributed more evenly, and will try your mould on my second foot with this. Fingers crossed

How long do these pads usually last? Does the material weaken quickly? Are they comparable to the traditional padding? As they're more expensive than 'normal' toe pads, I would prefer them lasting the equivalent time, or even longer. :)

PerfectFit Inserts usually last much longer than a typical toe pad since they are not a “padding” solution. It depends on how much you dance, but typically they last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year for a dancer (or longer). The molded material is very durable, and will not compress or pack down over time (as lambswool or foam does). It is more likely that you will need to get a new pair of inserts when you change shoe size or style (since they are custom-fit to a specific shoe and foot) before you need to replace them due to wear and tear. We have also added extra reinforcement in the toe socks around the big toe area to further increase durability in this region.

do you guys reckon the putty itself would work as orthopaedic inserts in regular footwear? custom podiatry supports are so expensive and dont even solve all of my problems; always have to settle on a compromise somewhere and I'm tired

your shoes shouldn't be brand new. they should be slightly broken in but not dead, after 2 or 3 wears is probably a good gauge! if you were to do it with a brand new pair, your pads would not fit as well with a pair of broken in ones, which is the actual shape you would want for your perfect fit.

They seem a bit bulky? Like especially when you are used to dancing without toe pads. But I guess when not using the full jar it is good.

Can confirm. I wear a half a jar on one foot and a third of a jar on another. There is almost nothing on the bottoms for mine and I still feel the floor

Yes, you can easily wash them with soap and water and let them air dry! :)

Most dancers find that they no longer need to tape their toes with PerfectFit! :) But usually there is room for a thin layer of tape if you still really want it. Hope this helps!

For any type of foam spacer, you can mold them directly into your PerfectFits without using the small included stretch sleeves. Foam is naturally porous already, so the putty won’t have any problem sticking to it. The process is essentially the same as outlined in the Instruction Booklet and Video - you’ll just be able to cover over the foam spacer directly on the top and bottom to anchor it to the sock

If you are buying a single kit does it come with two set of putty for both feet or do you have to buy the twin kit

Do you mean, can you use another style of toe pad to cover the moldable material instead of our fabric covers? Conceivably, yes, but a big benefit of using the lightweight sock covers is that it allows your foot to comfortably and naturally contact the shoe (but without the pressure points) :)

smudge it Did you tell your pointe shoe fitter that your feet are highly compressible? It definitely sounds like you’re in the wrong size shoe as it shouldn’t be painful from the get-go, and it’s possible this toe pad might not even fix the problem for you if the shoes are such a bad fit in the first place, since some dancers with compressible feet need a tighter fit somewhere else than the box.

I made these today, paying very close attention to the direction and they make my school really small and bruise my pinky toe. Really disappointed and sad as these were not cheap and my expectations were very high.
