Remember sleep training our son..I literally had to watch the clock. To make sure it was 5 mins..those minutes are long when you clock watch for sure. Super nanny videos helped me a lot! It was all worth it…the minutes are long but the results are so worth it! We did have regressions over time when he learned to stand, walk, talk etc. but it is worth it Mommy! 🥰 your doing exactly what I did in all the steps so far.

When my kids were babies, I let them sleep in my room in the bassinet for the first 3 months. Then I would put them into their own room, into the cot. I fed them around 10:30 pm and put them down and they slept until at least 7 am. They never woke up during the night. I felt they were so ready to be in their own room and it worked amazingly for them. I am a very light sleeper and wake up very easily so I didn’t sleep through them waking. I had a routine and kept to it so they learned very quickly what was going to happen each day. I don’t know if I had exceptionally good kids or if the routine was key but my kiddos were so easy to put to bed always. 😊😊

Your doing awesome, and don't feel bad. It took me about 2 weeks for my 1st born to sleep through the night. And everyone is different. For me only my son did not cry alot or have a hard time sleeping in his room by himself. Sounds like Ace will do great. Keep up the good work 😊

Hi! I sleep trained my daughter (who is the same age), and it went way better than I thought. I didn’t tie sleep training with night weaning. I followed the 5-3-3 rule. I would not feed her before the 5 hour mark, then 3 hour and so forth. Eventually, as we increased solids, she began sleeping through the night. Sleep training did help with her being able to put herself to sleep though and stay asleep most of the time unless she is teething or sick. She is a thumb sucker which is helpful.

Sleep training varies from baby to baby. I am a childminder in uk and have supported many of my family’s to sleep train. My method is pick up put down depending on how long it take them to go down. So i put them down watch the clock I start with 5 mins and go in every 5 mins until asleep usually it’s takes 30 mins or longer to begin with!!and then do that until it reaches the 10 mins until asleep. Same if they wake in night. If they are having a hard time with it still after a week I’d suggest putting them in it for naps first to get used to new environment. Yes always put in awake. Sound machine/ sleep swaddle or sleep sack and night light. Biggest thing is consistency once you start keep going ❤❤ hope all is going well with it xxx love u and ur family x

Get into a routine. Same thing every night. Warm, relaxing bath, cozy pajamas, a story while you’re feeding and rocking in a dimly lit room. Feed him and read to him the way you want. With the Ferber method, read to him after you put him down.

I started putting my daughter to bed around 7:30 and it was fine for a minute but realized that starting her bedtime routine around that time like her bath and feeding and then we hang out for a bit and depending on if she’s cranky she lays down around 9. She was getting up at like 2,4,6 the last couple of weeks but has now started only getting up at 6 and then she’s up for 9 to start her day. She has reflux issues so I was feeding her way early and that made it difficult and she was waking up more frequently. I’ve also done a night time routine with her since she was 2 months and that has helped a lot. I am blessed with what I call a “nurse lady” but she kinda helps me navigate being a first time mom so I get tips from her.

A great tip for this is to start with is let him sleep in his regular bed he has been sleeping in in your bedroom and once he’s 100% asleep bring him to HIS bedroom. I hope this helps 🥰🥰

When my son was a baby (now 30), we didn't have all the fancy things. Routine is the answer. Dinner, a little quiet play time, warm bath, pj's, brush teeth, rock and bed time story. We played soft calming music. If he cried, I'd go in to reassure him and just pat his little back. Most times, he would fall asleep and was good. If he is waking up for more than 2 hours, he may be hungry. I'd put rice cereal in his nighttime bottle this gives him a little substance to keep him full. I had to do this when our son was only two months old. He was growing so fast and needed the food to fill his little tummy. Doctor put him on whole milk and regular food at 9 months old. He was walking and needed it. Grew too fast and didn't stay a vaby cery long❤

Few tips from a professional governess who has raised many babies and currently have a 7 month old now who sleeps 7-7 every night. Kyte baby sleep sacks are the best. 1. Should have started at 4 months but still do able at 6 months. 2. Breast milk unfortunately isn’t the best for sleep training as doesn’t keep them full where as formula will keep them full for 12 hours. Still possible but it’s just going to be very difficult as he will be hungry and not fun for you cuz you can’t go 12 hours. 3.pacifiers are a MUST!!! I can’t explain this enough. This is how your baby will self soothe. If you didn’t start it tho at 1 month it will be real hard to get him to like it. 4. Consistency. Don’t give up. It will be a few weeks of torture but it’s so worth it

Hey! I am a mom of two and just a suggestion for maybe the future to not have the night light toy in the crib. As he gets older and more mobile it may become a distraction and he could try pulling it off. But if it works use it! But heads up don’t be shocked if he starts becoming distracted haha

Also another idea! If your baby has a hard time sleeping throughout the night without getting fed dream feeds are game changer!! It’s just two-three hours after they first go to bed. You just pick them up and feed them while they are sleep and then lay them down and they usually just stay asleep!!it helps them sleep through the night! Cause it said that if they wake up around after 3/4am it can take them a little longer to fall back asleep. So the dream feed helps them make it through the rest of the night or at least 6am which is a normal time for babies to wake up for the day!

Be careful using night lights. They can actually cause babies/ children to not fully get a good’s night rest. The light can actually penetrate through the eyelids which causes sleep problems. My doctor at that time told me that it causes eye problems later on in life and if you still want to use a night light, put it where the light doesn’t directly go into the child’s eyes, like on a wall as you enter the room. Also the more you go into the room to check on him, the more he will expect it. Ace has to figure this out on his own and he will definitely let you know if something is wrong. So letting him cry a little is ok and he needs to figure it out. Instead of going to the crib every time, just slightly open the door to hear how he is doing instead of hovering over him. Don’t worry Kennadee, he will adjust. You will make it through just fine. First time mom’s go through a really hard time because you want him to be with you all the time, but give him some space and things will turn out just fine. 💕💕💕
@hannahfoster7941Ай бұрын
God forbid he expects her to respond when he cries! I always respond to my babies' cries because I *want* them to know they can count on me. That's how healthy attachment is built. Where I live, sleep training isn't the norm. Neuroscience shows that babies don’t have the brain capacity to self-soothe; they learn it through years of co-regulation. Eventually, they’ll sleep through the night on their own. My 3-year-old still sometimes comes to us at night when she's scared, and I’m so glad she feels safe enough to do that. I’d hate for her to stay in bed alone, scared, and feeling abandoned.

Pls do not sleep training! It’s not good for your child! When you do that method your child don’t unterstand it! They get stressed and scared! And it’s so unhealthy. Baby’s and children don’t need to sleep through the night, they can’t because of there brain development. When you breastfeed him, he can sleep next to you and you both get a better sleep!

sleep training methods for 6 months and older babies is Ferber method a popular method that gradually increases the time between visits to the baby. Chair method A hands on method that includes placing the chair next to the crib and providing occasional reassuring. Controlled crying method a method that teaches babies to fall a sleep on there own so they don't cry when they wake up. Fading method A method that includes gradually reducing the time spent on techniques will help the baby fall asleep like rocking.or singing. Pick up/ put down method method includes picking up a crying baby until they settle down then lay them back down. No tears method method that involves comforting the babies if they start crying while trying fall asleep. how the sleep training going with baby Ace? from Cassidy in Tempe Arizona 💋💋💋❤❤❤😍😍😍
