I'm interested. It seems like there's actually a story related to the characters that isn't solely related to monsters. Normally we know nothing about the characters they're just NPC's but here i guess it seems like they're actually trying to build a narrative that isn't just monster is disturbing the eco system for the 1000th time

​@@boi1127 not many dedicated fans know that the mh franchise has two branches; mainline and portable. Many of the newer players joined the community in World and thought Rise was mh6 for some reason. I feel like mainline games go for immersion and logic, while portable goes for wild ideas (that could make it to mainline) and sometimes defy logic.

If you check the new video they release called "a message from the developers" which is basically Ryozo interviewing the director and producer of Wilds, towards the end of the interview they mention another new trailer being dropped at Summer Game Fest Quick edit: they also updated the promotional site of Wilds. They gave more info on stuff they showed in the trailer like the characters shown in the trailer. They tend to be very on point with updating it when they show new things.

It's probably not going to be fully open world, seems more like we will have large open locales similar to World but on a more seamless and larger scale. I say this because I notably notice a lot of the areas repeat themselves in this trailer. They also mention locales on the MH Wilds official Capcom page so.... not fully open world I bet you
