That Insect Glaive footage, they seem to only use the Powder mode and not using Assist mode at all.

Remember you need to manually remove the mantle otherwise it stays on while fighting

But to my understanding it does start recharging when it runs out, not only when you remove it

It does? I thought they changed that. I hated that aspect of it in World. I wanna see my armor, not the dried uo mantle, lol

They said they changed it so it removes by itself, or maybe it's a setting. Or perhaps it isn't in this version.

The crazy thing is that Ajarakan is only a mid game monster with these crazy AoEs and supers. Imagine the end game guys.

Couldn't the purple hits be negative crits from having minus affinity? That's usually what it means in monster hunter

The purple might be divine blessing. If so, then the text on the side indicating the skill popping off is unnecessary.

I was actually thinking it could be some sort of hyperarmor skill but divine blessing also makes sense, iirc the default armor for the obt had divine blessing but idr if it let out that purple light on activation. Apparently the word 逆恨み means resentment so theres that.

It's not just the translation. You can also see that the timing for the second message, of the effect expiring coincides with the red health being fully healed. We have 2 indicators that it's resentment. I guess, unless it's a quirk of this build, his weapons or a charm he's wearing has resentment.
