It seems the people have white sharpness which makes gravios significantly easier

I saw rathian and ajarakan fighting Gravios.

Keep in mind this is most likely a low rank gravios and Ajarakan armor prob has high fire resistance so that is why the beams look so weak

Hopefully, today's IGN videos are enough to convince the vocal minority that nothing was leaked, and that Gravios' reveal has been planned for a while.

My only nitpick with gravios is that the bear sfx used to create his main enrage scream are way more obvious this time, and it kinda breaks my immersion slightly when I can so clearly hear the real animal used to make the sfx. This is honestly such a small issue though, he looks GREAT

Honestly i absolutely do not care if the game is easy, the game still looks insanely fun and enjoyable. They can make the post-game hard or the eventual expansion

I think i know why gravios has poison now and that reason is the black flaim. Any other time we encounter a gravios it either has no threats or is being preyed on by akantor so why waist the nutrients on keeping a poison sack when it won't do anything against an akantor and putting minor annoyances to sleep is far more effective? The black flaim changes this as while it isn't big enough to hunt your average sized gravios it also isn't small enough to only be a minor annoyance so after a while of the species living in the forbidden lands gravios eventually started keeping their poison sacks from when they were barsarios.

His move of shooting the beam into the ground to do AOE feels like he learned it from Rise teostra and I'm cool with that. Gravios has 9 part breaks, as of 4th gen. You can break: his head, his chest twice, both legs, both wings, his back, and cut his tail. The interesting ones are his wings and back. If you break his wings, has to be both, his fly up body slam turns into a free down every time till he dies. If you break his back, his fire venting move that would normally be at his belly swaps to his back. It makes hitting the belly safer for everyone else but, if you're using IG, that break will make him more dangerous for you. They do not show either of these, in either the English or Japanese videos here. 11:16 that's a move that I'm pretty sure isn't in GU, if memory serves it's black gravios move. In G rank he can do 2 of those beam uppercuts in a row with a fair amount of horizontal adjustment between each of them. This is just high rank so don't worry. This is also just highlights so I bet they got hit more often than we saw. Said it before, if you can block the AT-AT move is a lot less scary. You can block faster than you can get up and roll, if you get hit by it and are about to get shot again.

I love that Capcom just brings back monsters that are not really that beloved or liked. But then makes them look so unbelievably awesome! What a glow up for Gravios!

Yes, the bow getting stamina back for a perfect dodge was a thing from the start. No skill required.

Isnt the whole point of Gravious to be slow? I mean he is a massive rock monster, and idk about you but those beams seemed to hit pretty hard to me.

20:27 The stamina increase on dodge is to encourage bow players to play up close to the monster (which is also where they are more likely to get hit!) Keep in mind, ranged weapons still take more damage. So missing a dodge with bow can result in a cart in G rank while say hammer will place you on low (coming from someone who mains bow and hammer). Rise dodge bolt counter only let you just counter the attack itself (while also doing damage). This looks like you can dodge the whole attack and gain stamina (but you don't do damage I think)

very happy. I feel like he should roll around a little more tho, and his tail is a lot closer to the ground than it used to be so it will be a lot easier to cut. Those are my only complaints

I have a whole list of monsters I'd like to return in wilds, especially since I've only played World, Iceborne, and part of Rise. I will say Gravios didn't make my list, but any monster I haven't fought yet is a welcome one, even if it comes with a grain of salt.
