Folks - as as been pointed out below, I may have gotten the ruling/order incorrect on the Sacred Art pop-off combo at 10:27. That said, it still works fine as long as you change the order and play the other blue first. Apologies for any confusion on my end, and thanks for watching.

Just for clarification: since you'll be playing the common Transcend card first, you'll only be able to pitch that Chi for NMEnigma *after* resolving Sacred Art (since it's at the top of the stack), so the 3 shields from her ability won't gain the +1 from the Sacred Art. Of course, if you go Common Transcend -> Sacred Art -> Common Transcend, you get to activate NMEnigma before the Sacred Art and end on 2 Chi and 5 shields with +1 each, which can mean 10 damage + 2 resources for whatever other auras you had before. With just 1 Transcend + Sacred Art + pitch, the combo becomes a lot weaker because of the order thing.

10:44 I'm not sure I understand that Sacred Art play. The release notes clearly say "You choose the modes when you play this card. To be able to choose 3 modes, you must have already played another blue card this turn before playing this card." Why would you get to resolve 3 modes if you only chose 1 when playing it?

If you didn't play a blue card before it: you choose one of the 3 options to happen If you play a blue card before it: you have all 3 options happening

@@juliobbeltran That's how I expect it to work, yes. But Dice Commando says you get to choose 1 mode, activate another blue on top of it on the stack, and then when you get to resolving the Sacred Art you actually resolve all 3 modes and not just the 1 you chose. That part made no sense to me

You choose the modes when you play this card. To be able to choose 3 modes, you must have already played another blue card this turn before playing this card. ^ from the fab website so yeah he got this one wrong.

@@juliobbeltran 1.7.6c of the Comprehensive Rules say this: "Once the modes of a modal ability have been selected, those modes determine the base abilities of the source for rules and effects. If no modes for the source have been selected it is considered to not have any of those modes as base abilities." It doesn't sound like you can resolve modes that weren't chosen

@@juliorama1772 it's kinda the same gimmick of playing a transcend card in instant speed and playing another before the first one resolves, netting you 2 chi... you play sacred art choosing a mode (since no other blue cards were played at the time of choosing a mode) and play a transcend card before the shrine resolves, when the shrine resolve after that transcend card, it'll make all 3 options

The very first box of Mistveil that hit my porch was a Japanese language booster. Sure enough it had the gold pack! Only the English prints have the marvel inside, or I would've considered selling the pack unopened. So glad I didn't, one of my favorite cards now!
