Just ordered these as my stock ones are so scratched I can no longer seed the bulbs inside! I went for the HXB, just hope it's not too bright for other drivers, though the yellow should help that.

Good choice! I got the hxb for my ditch lights. Very bright! But for the fogs, you can easily adjust them down a bit.

how high is your headlight cut off? is your truck stock height or leveled? I'm trying to find the right height with my morimoto hybrids.

What are you thinking when aiming them, both on the truck and STI? I have the SS3 Pro's on my WRX, and I'm torn whether to aim them basically straight down onto the pavement, or further down the road like a running like, as I use them all the time. Curious to see other opinions. These Morimoto's look good though!

They want to be directed more down. They aren’t like a projector in your headlights where there is a fine cutoff and dip to help with in coming drivers. I typically like to aim them to the point where I can see the top of the cut off from the drivers seat.

Human eye can depict yellows and oranges better than whites blues and purples.

Both great options. I had a lot of diode stuff on other cars. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. I found the morimoto yellow to be a bit deeper yellow overall. Where the diode wasn’t as deep.

Definitely will be a big upgrade due to the proper cutoff and higher quality LED’s. Definitely worth the upgrade.

I wouldn’t aim it up towards the headlight cut off. The purpose of fogs are to illuminate the foreground and sides of your vehicle. Aiming them higher would blind on coming drivers. It helps fill in the void the headlights leave below their projection and cutoff. I don’t have any driving videos with the 4 bangers on at night.
