I did look into the machine MicroMark three and it does look very similar I just really love the fact that on the MPC Studio Mark to you’re able to chop up and slice your samples on the hardware without having a click and that’s one thing I noticed on the machine micro you might have to do if you clicking around. I’ll be uploading a video tomorrow on the beat making process with this unit so hopefully it’s helpful.

Nice, talking about the sample start/sample end stuff in detail. No one else has. This is a crucial function for oldschool beatmakers. While I sort of like the design of this, they keep dumbing things down, design-wise. More knobs. Not less. Bigger screen. Not smaller. Keep a consistent button layout... which Akai keeps... not doing, haha. Great review, man.

@madisonsinclair5123 Жыл бұрын
7:10 I'm pretty sure the criticism isn't about the screen. All MPC users are staring at screens the whole time they are using them. I think the beef is over having to have an additional box, the laptop or desktop. It's the additional machine, not the screen. I don't have that problem. I love this thing, I keep wondering why they didn't think of it sooner. All MPC's have underpowered and compromised processors in order to keep the cost of the box down. This system allows for a far more powerful processor system then could ever exist in a standalone, not to mention virtually unlimited storage. Additionally, musicians who prefer to play their parts are almost always reliably tethered to some sort of computer or DAW anyway. Having this sitting on Deck with my Studiologic Numa X Piano GT along with the 27-in touch screen, makes this an MPC Keys 88. Certainly not portable, but far more capable than any of their standalones.

The MPC Touch has it's internal touch screen, with a simplified view (same as MPC standalone hardware), this is rendered by the desktop software. I found out that you can trick the software to display this screen on a regular/2nd monitor connected to PC (I used USB-C dock)... Very interested whether the same can been done with MPC Studio MK2. I used 'CRU Utility' to change 'Product ID' of the external monitor to 'THI1211', and rebooted PC. Now MPC desktop shows extra display on external monitor.
