Im a yew tee resident, staying here since 1998. Either i have to take red line to wdls to transfer TEL or jurong east to town area. Take bus 979 to bpp needs 30mins. Take 190 from cck interchange to orchard needs an hr or so. Cant u build DE1 earlier and build sungei kadut interchange station much later? 10yrs later, who can wait that long? I told others this news, they tell me wait long long.

Build a MRT/LRT link between paya lebar station and marine parade station. This will effectively connect tel4/5 to the circle line and hence the core mrt network. This link could run over the existing Haig Walk. Without this link, tel4/5 will mostly be under-utilised and the east coast area will effectively be "isolated" from "mainland" Singapore.

Honestly, it is a good connection. However the frequency of stations on the line is overkill. It makes taking the Downtown line very jerky and uncomfortable. (Too many accelerations and decelerations over a short distance) There shouldn’t be built stations on the line in between Bt Panjang and Yew Tee.
