perfect engine choice for the cutlass. Talked to a guy at the GM Carlisle show with a late 60s 442 and he told me this engine was a popular for the late 60's 442s.

425 is an awesome motor. I built one for my 64. You’ll love it. They’ve got a shit load of torque.

The 67 tornado 425 was probably the most underrated sleeper...not to mention it was a 39° cam bank angle for easy variety of cam choices

ALL of the 66 delta 88's had a 425. Only way it didn't was if the dealer or customer replaced it with a different motor. There may have been more than 1 variation of the 425 available from the factory, but only a 425

What would the possible motor be if we had a Olds. car that had Dynamic on it ? I just remember the faded blue paint, clean white interior, a key on the dash -not the steering column, large motor under the hood that liked gas, not what a teenager running off late wants to see constantly having to put gas in. Good solid car, though.

you are correct about the Delta's. 4 versions from a factory rated 300hp to 370hp. 2 or 4bbl, different compessions, and single & dual exhaust. The Dynamic 88's had 3 versions of the 425. 300hp, 310hp & 360hp. 2 or 4bbl carb. 10.25:1 compression for 2 & 9.0:1 for one. single exhaust on all 3. My 1st car was a 65 Dynamic 88 with the 10.25:1 compression 2bbl carb and single exhaust. I was 17. Gas idn't seem like much of a big deal when it was around $1.00 a gallon. It would do about 105mph top end with muffler, and 110+ without a muffler. If i only knew then what I know now, I might still have it.

Had a 66 as my first car with a 330 cu. in/ 320 h.p. . Few aftermarket parts. Didn’t have it too long but enough to have a real fondness for the car. Great little small block. Unfortunately, not too many videos on the car. Shame. Good luck with the rebuild.
