So thankful for this episode as it turned me onto Stone! If you haven’t seen it, there is a 9 cd box set called Stone - Complete. It features all studio albums, live record and a few discs of rarity and demos. Can’t wait for my copy to get here!

Great ideas for my work listening pleasure. Sirius XM Hairnation gets old after awhile and you pop some new music ear candy daily for me to mix it up. Thank you. I too am in design and I like to have it in the background as I design and draw up CAD. Some I have not heard in a long time. LOVE IT!

Check out The Associations 1981 cover of Moon Martins "Dreamer". Its marvellously crafted harmony pop on pair with their 60s classics like Cherish and Never My Love.

Wow John “Moon” Martin a name from the past may he RIP. I remember his hits “Rolene” & “No Chance”, His songs just barely touch the Top 40 I remember Casey Kasem talking about him when he hit the AT40 in 1979. Interesting guy!

I will be ordering that Mr Big set. I have 2 albums on Lp, but I find the sound a bit muddy. They remind me of early Queen and Sweet but a bit unfocused, yet they sound really interesting and different. I'm glad they're getting the cd treatment. Cheers.

I found a underrated German Crossover-Funk Metal band Freaky Fukin Weirdoz. They are similar to Faith No More but closer to Mr. Bungle.

You probably have all the Frankie Miller releases, but Rock Candy Records recently did a reissue campaign on his releases. They might have additional tracks on them as well.
@BrendonSnyder Жыл бұрын
Yes I own all the albums already. I did see the Rock Candy Records editions but for $20 I got a boxset of 5 albums instead of spending $18 just one from Rock Candy. It depends sometimes I specially want the ones from Rock Candy and other times ok with just the cardboard sleeve boxset of 5.

Great haul there, Brendon. I bought both of those Moon Martin albums when they originally were released. Bought Escape From Domination for the song Rolene. Feel in love with the whole album, so good. Also recently picked up, Zebop by Santana, Thunder Pussy, Outsider by Night Demon, Outlaw Blood, French Kiss by Bob Welch, and Freedom by Neil Young.

A lot of pickups Brendon, your ears will busy processing it all. Out of everything, which suprised you most in how much you enjoyed it & vice versa. Who does the Artwork for the Donner Party? The cover of the LP is very striking.

Brendon, if you like mid/late 70s Yacht Rock you may wanna check out the Californian band Fools Gold. They released two albums in 1976/77, Fools Gold and Mr. Lucky and theyre both in an Eagles vein. Fools Gold backed singer/songwriter Songwriter Dan Fogelberg in the mid 70s and thryre a marvellous band. Both albums are available on CD., Comparison to Buckingham/Nicks era Fleetwood Mac can also justifiably be made.

Hey buddy….. so hyped that you grabbed the Silent Fries and Mighty Echoes CD from Eloy. Very cool. I’m picking up the Donner Party Pizza Patrol, reached out to the band and they are gonna ship it to me, said that newer one the CDs are on order and should be here soon. Heading to Amazon now to grab the Stone CDs that I don’t have. Great video!!!

Great selection! I need to get Ronnie Wood's solo work, and Moon Martin sounds interesting. I picked up the Rock in a Hard Place remaster, I really enjoyed the album, just a good straight-ahead rock album. I had always read how bad it was, but I enjoyed it. I also picked up the first 6 studio albums from Huey Lewis and the News in MQA x UHQCD Mini LP sleeve format from CDJapan. They sound amazing on the stereo, and my Walkman DAP can unfold MQA files and they sound really great as well. I know MQA is a whole issue, but these releases are great. Tons of bonus tracks, Sports has 22 alone!

Sounds like you’re more a fan of a sound and not a fan of the band. Considering how long the band has been around and how big they have remained suggests that the newer stuff doesn’t suck, but it’s just not to your liking because it doesn’t sound like their sound from the 70’s. That’s ok, but I love their whole career and thank goodness because they’re is so much to enjoy from the band.
