I've got to say, I really like the anticipation you build for each album you introduce in between each review. I can tell lots of thought goes into that (smooth transition) and stands out among other reviewers. My favorites from your last month's review were J. Mascis and Montara. Out of what I've listened to from this video: Real Estate- easy listening, and yeah, forgettable. Steve Hackett- really enjoyed! My favorite was the beautiful arpeggios of White Dove. Brittany Howard- sorry, but i think she's overrated. Sounds amazing sonically but, yeah, couldnt get into. Kacey Musgraves- my favorite of the bunch. Really growing on me. Really catchy without being cheesy. The little "textures" were great, agreed, and they were spread throughout the record with the ear candy ornamentation. I'm looking forward to digging into the rest. And I'm looking foward to your review of MGMT. Nothing Changes has been in my head for a month! Besides my recommendations from last month, the albums that stood out for me this month were: Mooneye - "Come With Me And Hide" J.J. Grey & Mofro - "Olustee" Grandaddy - "Blu Wav" Julian Lage - "Speak to Me" Almo - "Reconciliation" Monkey 3 - "Welcome to the Machine" Waxahatchie - "Tigers Blood"

Thanks so much man. I went back to see your reccos last month - still need to listen to a few you mentioned. Monkey3 sparks my interest, and I should get Julian Lage, Grandaddy, and Almo another shot. I was underwhelmed on first listen, but those should be up my alley.

Hey Matt, just wanted to jump back on here and say that I'm really enjoying Mesaverde and William Doyle, especially the former. The guitar work is nuts. A real sleeper was released a few weeks ago. Francis of Delirium - "Lighthouse." 8/10 maybe even 9! Hope you check it out. Really catchy, nostalgic debut album.

Oh you know it. Another solid track, but my least favorite of the singles so far. I’ve had My Golden Years and They Don’t Know How To Fall In Place stuck in my head since they came out

@@MattOLearyMusic "A Dream is all I Know" grows on you, I think. I thought it was a bit too much at the first few listens, modulations you know (typical Brian 😄). I still think it's a bit much here and there, but now I appreciate it more. Very much looking forward to the album, which I've heard will be more Beatle-esque than ever.

It's a matter of taste & mood but acts like Real Estate, Everything Everything, Kacey Musgraves are unlistenable to me with their soft & sunny vibes - they need more rock'n'roll bite in their music
