Good attempt. Plus points: Auto sticker. Electrically operated. Possible improvements: Two strings can be used for better harmonics. Positions of the Frets should be improved to perfection,

Interesting and clever construction. Completing the circuit for the motor using the plucked string against the fret wire. Perhaps something could be designed to use three strings so more than a simple melody can be played? A tritone “chord” can sound quite full. If the can could be suspended to allow longer notes and a dampening button added, wide range of timing could be played as well. I like it and it has me thinking also so good project! 👍

Hello ART AND MECHANICS, congratulations on your success. What you did and what you may not have noticed. 1. You used the axial component of the vibration energies of the string, as opposed to the transverse, zonal, and circular. This is rare for musical instruments. 2. As an acoustic amplifier, you used a cylindrical Helmholtz resonant vessel with a wide neck. But you are working with the harmonic resonances of the vibrations of the membrane and the cylinder body. This gives a specific color to the comb filter, which cuts off lower harmonics. 3. You have made a musical instrument with normalized excitation at one point and marked the scale division of the full tone along the tuner. This is a device that has long been required for more accurate scale marking. If you compare it with classical markings, then you will have deviations towards greater accuracy of the chromatic series. Perhaps it would be productive to find a specific point of sound production that would give greater energy to the vibration of the first harmonic (fundamental tone) and a smooth decrease in the rest of the harmonic series. This is called a roll-off filter. This filter is present in all traditional musical instruments and matches the spectrogram of the human voice, but also prolongs sustain. 4. In real plucked musical instruments, the string is clamped by the damper surface immediately behind the saddle (string break), and not in the middle between the saddles. This immediately clears the vibration tone from the sounds of reflections on parts of the string. It would also be possible to offer enrichments in the form of adjusting the vibrato, tremolo and sustainer, and even the bow (electromagnetic). But this is your creative concept, and I will not touch on it. You can also control the characteristics of the membrane. If all this sounded clumsy, then this will be the fault of the translator-repeater. I'm always very angry with them.

Hello, first of all, thank you for your detailed and meaningful writing. Second, I must say that I do not have much knowledge about music science, but I am very interested in creating creativity through personal experiences and practical work. We have a proverb in our place ( Need is the mother of creation) In the future, I may be able to follow the path you took. Also, I am grateful for your encouragement and praise. In the hope of a world free from war and violence.☘️☘️☘️

⚠ God has said in the Quran: 🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 ) 🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 ) 🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 ) 🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 ) 🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 ) ⚠ Quran@@ARTANDMECHANICS
