I just wanted to say, thanks for highlighting this product! Getting it alongside a Magic Keyboard has totally transformed the utility of my iPad Pro. It was backordered on Amazon so I ordered it straight from the manufacturer and got it in ~8 days to the eastern US. Apple could make a killing if they made a version of an arm like this that implemented the magnetic charging interface.

I got mine today, fabulous stand. I hope it holds up. I did discover watching another review that you can remove the silver tabs and adjust the arm tension with a screwdriver.

@@madhav_4 I haven’t tried it with the pencil but I think it would unless you are putting the whole weight of your arm on it. I have it in my RV and it barely moves when traveling.

True, iPad Pro will get a refresh. But count on it that it still will utilize magnets inside the enclosure for compatibility with the Magic Keyboard.

I use my iPad Pro with a cheap, flimsy stand (it’s actually a MacBook stand that changes the angle), and I’m in for something better. What you showed looks interesting. I’m also looking into other quality (magnetic) stands. I will check this one out, thanks for sharing this info!

I’m still waiting for the production of the CharJen MagFlött VESA mount (still in production on kickstarter so hasn’t shipped yet!) It’s very similar to the X36 but it can be used on any VESA desk/wall/tripod mount you want so it adds extra flexibility!

It's definitely something I would use. I'm still trying to justify purchasing a new iPad though. It's one of those things I want but just don't need. I use my current iPad and have a laptop, but have been weanting to use an iPad as a travel computer with detachable keyboard instead though. Because I currently travel with both macbook and ipad, but I feel like I can coming that into an ipad with keyboard case instead since what I do on trips isn't necessary with a Macbook. I just enjoy the keyboard experience and my 7th gen iPad is starting to feel a little date.

I wish that the iPad would natively support Magsafe wireless charging AND multi-gigabit (Thunderbolt 4 speed), low-latency wireless docking (like 802.11ay) : it would be soooo great to just drop the iPad on such stand, and have it wirelessly charging, and wirelessly connect to a hub (USB-C, HDMI,…) to be able to extend functionalities !!! Really, really, really craving for this to happen !!!

@fernando look at the KUXIU X36 Pro, same quality same design but they charge the new iPads via the iPad PINs on the back now. I didnt know that 3rd party manufactures are allowed. Maybe Apple changed policy here...a

How long have you had it? and how often do you adjust the position? My only concern is there isn't any mechanism to tighten the joints in the event that it get's loose over time. I have a goose neck mount for my tablet that I move in and out of my way consistently while working and it doesn't have joints and has been stable in it's flexibly for 5 years now. It's a very attractive arm but my concern is longevity for those who actually need the mobility of the arm on a consistent basis. It would have been ideal if the swivel portion at least had a tentioner. Thanks for sharig.

The joints are covered will milled metal caps, you can remove them to tighten/slacken the joints using a Philips head screwdriver. I've had mine a couple of months and adjust it multiple times a day, still as stiff as the day I took it out the box.

Personally I don’t believe you use the iPad as your main computer. In my experience they are completely rubbish. The operating system is difficult to use, it basically a glorified mobile phone system. The PDF editor is junk, the Apple Pencil system that turns written words into text is so far off it can’t be trusted. If you want to do anything you have to pay stupid money for an app or a stupid subscription. Window on the other hand just works. Programs are either cheap or free. The iPad pro is just is just a glorified phone with a big screen so games look better on it. It’s a very expensive games console. I jumped in and bought the M1 12.9 inch pro it is the first and the last iPad I will ever own. I use my windows laptop for important stuff and the iPad for watching you tube videos and playing games
