I actually think it would make more sense for krakoa to be more popular for morlocks. And mutants who are loved by the population are where ever they choose to live. Plus some places that inhibit mutant powers like the savage land would be a safe haven for mutants with powers that harm everyone.

One thing that is important to keep in mind is that Krakoa is not simply a land mass, a nation or a community, but a sentient collonial organism. And nearly all of mutantkind has been assimilated into it by now. It matters not if Krakoa is for you, nor really if you are for Krakoa, but if you _are_ Krakoa.

I hate when there is an obvious, in world solution to issues that just gets ignored. Masque could easily change the looks of any mutant. No-girl could go through the crucible and get her body back. They could at least give flimsy reasons why these aren't possible; instead of just hoping we don't think about it

@@DevinSpeaks no. No girl only looks that way because she was mutilated by the U-Men. They are mutant organ harvesters. They kidnapped her, removed her brain from her body and kept it alive in a jar. The way she looks has nothing to do with her power. She could easily be given a husk of her body but I think maybe the writers just aren't familiar with the characters history like you weren't (see new X-Men 118-119 for her origin)

...it's crazy that the standard of of mutant beauty is still human, even on the new X-MEN team, there is no representation of "Morlock" looking mutants on the team. That can foster self esteem issues.

I wonder what the ethics on Krakoa are of Karma essentially imprisoning another mutant within her. If they DO resurrect Tran and use a backup of his mind, is his original self still within Karma? Can Xavier transfer a soul or just a mind?

These are great questions. Since Karma imprisoned her brother a long time ago, I don't see why they would be upset by her. It'd be interesting to see how much in the present Trans's mind is backed up or would the latest copy be when Karma absorbed/"killed" him the first time or when Magik "killed" his spirit the second time?

I think a lot of people forget is that high level telepaths have power or a level of control in the astral realm, which is technically a place for a soul. Proteus and Xavier survived there for a long time despite being physically dead. Maybe cerebro uses that aspect to restore souls, and ecplain why only high level telepaths are capable of using cerebro, only those who are capable of astral projection; Xavier, Jean, Emma and her cuckoos.

So if they are downloading souls into these husks, how is it even possible to have two at the same time? Doesn't it suggest they are just making copies who may have the same memories but they are actually completely different people?

@@mattm7378 Yes, maybe that's why they're extra careful to avoid creating new people/"souls" with the same husks and memories. Maybe they make new souls from the energies there. The astral realm was argued to be multiversal same way shadowking was allegedly a multiversal entity too. Maybe that's why copies get corrupted in otherworld since energies are unpredictable there. Maybe every astral plane of every universe are connected too. So when a soul dies there it gets bonkers. Maybe that's why death/hela is so preverted by mutants defying death. Since they can basically preserve and can make souls now. In X-force too the resurrected quire, the evil one was basically only made up of quire's angry astral energies. Maybe a soul is just energy too that are basically nothing until it experiences "life" ang has memories

Heyyyy, X of Swords was about the tournament and just happened to be in otherworld. Not an exploration of our. So it makes sense that other stories would fill in what was missing. I think of X of Swords at the introduction, and everything after the exploration

I'm sure you know this, but witchbreed is the name for mutants in the 1602 miniseries and related spin-offs; this is the first time I've ever heard that term used in the mainstream 616 universe. Also, I think I have that comic where Karma absorbed her brother's soul. I don't understand why the five can't just resurrect him without that Crucible since he's technically dead.

It’s a shame Shadow King doesn’t just do the right thing and call Mask from the Morlocks. He could rearrange their entire look in minutes. I hope Amahl chooses to reject the Shadow King’s influence. He’d make a cool new Charles Xavier for and underground team of Krakoans.

They say they risked everything, but the thing is that it was their problem that was put on Otherworld's doorsteps when it came to Arrako, or at least Apocalypse's fault. His manipulations brought this and the mutants act like they deserve a hero's parade. If it wasn't for Saturnyne's own manipulations and tournaments, things would have probably ended up worse, which kinda makes Saturnyne the hero, despite being the jerk, because she followed what her tarot cards told her and made sure people like Cable did too, even though things didn't exactly end like she wanted them to, but she's pretty much the one who solved the problem between Krakoa and Arrako, even though mutants tried to colonize Otherworld.

Hi Folks, I was wondering why Otherworlders like Roma, Merlin, and Saturnyn refer to the mutants as "witchbreed?" What does this derogatory term have to do with mutants and their abilities? Also, since the vampires have their own kingdom in Otherworld, Sevalith? why is Dracula so pressed about conquering Krakoa and the rest of earth? Is earth's Dracula the leader of Sevalith?

Sevalith is now lead by "Death" first horseman/Apoc's son. So a mutant is now also leading another otherworld realm. I think the witchbreed term comes from the fact that mutants have innate magic explored in excalibur.
